Using Struts with JetSpeed.

2002-03-11 Thread Ramanswamy, Muthu

Hi All-

I am in the process of developing a Portal. Currently I also use Struts in
other Web Application.

Question? Can I use JetSpeed to communicate to a Struts based Servlet
instead of a Turbine based Servlet. I am not familiar with Turbine or
JetSpeed. As I did most of the work with Struts, I am thinking may be I
should leverage the Struts knowledge rather than learning another framework.

Has anyone used Struts with JetSpeed? Any recommendations?

Appreciate your input.

Thanks.,

Help in determining the language/protocol used to build the controls.

2002-01-18 Thread Ramanswamy, Muthu

Hi All-

Can someone tell me how to build the page similar to the one shown on the
SAP Internet Demo Site? I am more interested to know what tools or language
is used to build those type of controls in the page.

Any "input" on those type of controls will help.

I noticed the page works only in IE5.5+

The link I am talking about is :

http://ideswps02.sap-ag.de/login.html?~login=idesdemo&~password=welcome&~lan
guage=en

It should bring you to the Orders Page. Clink on any of the order link in
the Orders Page. You will see another page with controls for tables,
buttons, too bar, hints etc.,

Any input would be appreciated.

RE: Table Maintanence(Off topic a bit)

2002-01-17 Thread Ramanswamy, Muthu

Cameron-

Use JSP Tags. The tag can output the XML Content and write it to the
JspWriter. Later use the Apache XSL Tags as the outer tag that could apply
the XSLT and then deliver the page.

http://jakarta.apache.org/taglibs/doc/xsl-doc/intro.html

Hope it helps.,

Subject: Table Maintanence(Off topic a bit)

I am trying to put together a Table Mainance app for the web using
struts of course! Since these are small tables that dont have a lot
fields as well as a lot of functionality(Add, Edit, Delete). I want to
do some thing that can be fairly generic. Class X creates an XML output
for table Y which I could then use XSL to create the page. I figured
before I start coding it my self, I should see if any one has already
put together any thing like this.

Any ideas???

Thanks! Cameron
