Re: road to 4.9

2019-07-03 Thread Dirk Hohndel
I don't see any show stoppers listed. I'm trying to track down a few small
things, but overall I think we are getting close.
Let's aim for a release in about a week or so?

That means we need the missing pieces to the user manual (and I can help edit
that), we need the missing translations, and we need a lot more testing :-)

Thanks

/D

PS: if I'm missing a major issue that we need to fix, first, please respond
here and also file a GitHub issue (or link to it if it's already there)

This is most likely because you have a newer generation Mares Quad with
more flash memory. This is already fixed in latest libdivecomputer, but
your version of subsurface is using an older version.

Just to confirm this is indeed the problem, download the dctool
command-line application (I'm guessing you're on Mac OS X):

https://libdivecomputer.org/builds/stable/macosx/dctool

Start a terminal and execute with these options:

chmod +x dctool
./dctool -vv -l iconhd.log -f iconhd dump -o iconhd.bin
/dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART

Send back the iconhd.log and iconhd.bin files.

Subsurface error in Fedora 30

2019-07-03 Thread Edu Alcaniz
Hi, I found an error using Subsurface in Fedora 30

[ealcaniz@ealcaniz Downloads]$ ./Subsurface-4.8.6-x86_64.AppImage
./Subsurface-4.8.6-x86_64.AppImage: error while loading shared libraries:
libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

[ealcaniz@ealcaniz Downloads]$ locate libcrypt.so
/usr/lib64/.libcrypt.so.2.0.0.hmac
/usr/lib64/.libcrypt.so.2.hmac
/usr/lib64/libcrypt.so
/usr/lib64/libcrypt.so.2
/usr/lib64/libcrypt.so.2.0.0

It seems that Fedora 30 changed the version. Can we compile a new version
of Subsurface for Fedora 30? or a workaround?
