Would be good if you can send the activity log, and what version of Sugar,
and Chat activity are you using.

I didn't face any problem with any other activity I had worked on so far.
So didn't look up for their logs. Chat activity is the first one which is
giving me problems. No textbox or chatbox, even the smileys button seems to
be disabled.

  Hello everyone,

I am facing problems with the chat activity. It seems unresponsive even
though I am able to view the users in the neighbourhood and invite them to
the chat activity. But even after joining the same, the chat activity opens

I can't figure out any specific error but all I found in logs was -

Or omit the metaphor as far as possible, and see if we can present the
data collected by the Dextrose method in a non-intrusive way. My
suggestion would be like [1], but probably without any words.

I will add that. I'm not really sure what categories to do, maybe these:

I think persona is a good login system for users since there is no confirm
your email stuff.
For me, it provides valid email addresses, which is VERY useful.

But can't the browser only do 2 requests to one server at once? Where as it
can do async to many servers?

Also it is a common standard today (I think) to use a cdn version of your
scripts.
This means for very common scripts (eg. jquery) it will just hit the
browser cache.
Also cdns are just faster that 1 web server.

Really?

What I could do is combined all the js into 1 file (and same for css).
BUT, I'm not sure if just using the cdn version would be better; cdns are
very fast (and most of the scripts are served through cloudflare which has
edge cache servers in South America and Australia as well as the usual US +
Europe + Asia. This is good because it is close to sugar users).

Well, I think that splitting the servers is actually better.
Some things are served by reliable cdns (good).
But separating the non-essential bits (comments, recommendations) means
that crashes there will not effect the essential bits (data.json or
aslo-bot-master.sugarlabs.org)

Ok that is an issue. I could combine files (and put the on cloudflare cdn,
I think they have a free plan).

LOL. I added cache :) Maybe I should try to cdn just that file as it is the
entire data set for aslo.

Hi Christian,

Thanks a lot.
Are you able to send a pull request on the Git repository with this
update ? It will be easier for me to integrate and it will allow you
to be integrated in the contributor list.

Regarding the "Restart" listed two times it's a... bug. I'm going to
remove it.

Why is the point "Restart" listed two times?

Re: [Sugar-devel] Sugarizer German translation

2014-05-24 Thread Christian Stroetmann

Hi again Lionel

I already guessed this reason, but I was not sure where and for what the
different 'Restart' commands are used.

Regarding the "Restart" listed two times it's a... bug. I'm going
to remove it.

Ooops. Not exactly a bug indeed, the same word is used for two
different things.
The first "Restart" means "Restart Sugarizer" - from the buddy popup
menu in the home screen.
The second "Restart" means "Restart activity" - from the journal popup
menu in the journal screen.
I've renamed the second "Restart" into "RestartActivity" to avoid
confusion.

   Lionel.

Re: [Sugar-devel] [UKids] RE: [support-gang] [Announcement] Sugarizer v0.4 is available

2014-05-24 Thread Lionel Laské
Hi Caryl,

Thanks for your enthusiasm. I share you wish than lot of people involve in
Sugarizing (means, porting/rewriting to Sugar Web) !

Regarding newbie guide, a very basic one is here [1]. Not as cool than the
James Simmons ebook but it's a good start.

Regarding Memorize, Sugarizer integrate the activity Memorize Web [2] done
by Manuel. Once again it's very basic but it's a good start.

Will be cool if someone could improve these.

Lionel.
