We have this patch in the olpc rpm https://git.sugarlabs.org/olpc-abiword-rpm/olpc-abiword-rpm/blobs/master/fix-pdf-export.diff This fixed a problem in pdf, but was related with the text handles, I need check if that is already included in 3.0 code or not. Carlos, do you have links to relevant abiword commits or tickets? Surely a different issue. You should look at the shell.log file to see if there are any clue about collaboration. Write sometimes puts a collaboration icon in the F1 view. Collaboration is now seems flaky in general on this machine. Thanks, Not at the box to retry right now, but I attempted to use Write, eventually, in the most simple possible way (there are more than 20 logs, over two days). For certain, file names tried included just two plain letters, with no text in the page. I have to use a mouse click. If so, could you try using just ascii? I have not thought of a test without using a mouse click, that would result in a save. If there is a keyboard shortcut unknown to me, I could try that. Same with the title. I had thought of reporting exactly all the repeatable and less-repeatable behaviours, till I realised the above. Other than that I have been been careful to use only ascii characters. Looks like a crash in abiword when try to open the saved file. Could you attach the document saved in the Journal, and the log of the first instance when you created the object?
