I am unable to send files via Pidgin to another Pidgin user. We both are using the same protocols (AIM Google, which is XMPP) and both of us have put Pidgin as an exception for our respective firewalls. I am running on Windows XP Home Edition and she is running on Vista Home Edition. Please help. -- Christopher DiGregorio ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? How do I turn off updates for one user but not all the others?
I installed a Twitter plugin and I don't want it to make a sound whenever someone tweets. I do want the popup to notify me, just without the noise. However, I do want to hear sounds when someone IM's me with another protocol or someone logs on. How do I do this? Here's some information on my system that might be needed: Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope Pidgin 2.6.1 76c08f9df332fb22059ada8287a5da4b7a1d37fa Thanks, Brad -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/How-do-I-turn-off-updates-for-one-user-but-not-all-the-others--tp25310684p25310684.html Sent from the Pidgin Support List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? While the twitter plugin may be a third-party plugin and the Pidgin developers do not support third-party plugins, configuring per-user sound notifications is pretty much squarely outside of a protocol plugin's functionality. That said, this isn't possible in Pidgin itself. The third-party Smart Ear plugin may help (although I don't know if it has the ability to do per-*account* configuration.) Re: Pidgin Problem
That's because you're running Windows Vista. I had that problem with other applications in Vista. Not XP as much but it still happened. You could be experiencing a different problem than me but I'm replying with my experiences.
