Good lord. In all the years I have been using XP (and its
predecessors) I have never once thought to look in Set

to me why not everything can launch Seamonkey as an e-mail

How can I protect the cookie that specifies my Flash options while also
allowing removal of other Flash cookies?

I'd try this: do a backup, set the file read-only, clear cookies. Don't
forget the backup step!

I know my Seamonkey is set as default as I can open IE and click on a
mailto link and it will bring up my Seamonkey email. Thanks for any
help.

So what happens when you follow the directions?

H. To Email:

1. Introduction:
a. This option will sends the image to your email program if that
program is supported by the Windows Mailto: command

It brings up the Microsoft Exchange Wizzard

b. If the email program that you use is not supported by the Windows
Mailto: command, you will need to first save the captured image and
then

attach it to, or insert it into, a message

That is why I am asking if anyone has ever used it with SeaMonkey

2. If you want you would like annotations on the image that was
captured, you can open FastStone Draw after the Email window opens and
before you send the message by clicking on the Draw button in the Email
window.

I have done that and then hit email and it again brings up the Microsoft
Exchange Wizzard

3. When the To Email Output option is in effect, each time you do a
capture the Email dialog box will appear
4. If you are satisfied with the image that appears in the Email dialog
box, click on the Send Email button and your default email program will
open and the captured image will be attached

But it does not and I have sent an email to FastStone and asked it
suypports Seamonkey or Mozilla but have received no reply and so I ask
if anyone has had it work with Seamonkey and if not I will not pursue it
further.

I installed the 30 day trial version of FastStone Capture, and after
installing SeaMonkey 2.6.1, configuring my system to use it as my
default mail client, and testing FastStone Capture, it opened
SeaMonkey mail.

Someone with more knowledge of Windows will have to help you out as to
why it wants to open Microsoft Exchange Wizard, and what you need to
do to change that behavior.

Thanks for the reply and also for checking by installing the trial version.

You will need to re-set SeaMonkey as the default mail client again.

1. In SeaMonkey, go to Edit - Preferences - Mail Newsgroups and,
under Make SeaMonkey the default application for: click Mail.

2. In your WinXP, go to Start Set Program Access and Defaults,
expand Custom, and in Choose a default email program
select SeaMonkey.

EXPLANATION

To be the default email program in Windows, means two separate things:
  A.  To be the default program for launching mailto: links;
  B. To be the program that provides MAPI services.

FastStone uses MAPI, not mailto:, to send screen captures.

It appears you currently have only mailto: associated to SeaMonkey.

Thanks, I have done that several times and every time I go back to Set
Program Access and Defaults-Custom and set Seamonkey as email to be used
in reverts back to use my current email program. Thanks for the reply
and I will keep working on it.

Anyone get Unselect Message extension to work with the latest SM

2012-01-26 Thread Glen
I was using xSidebar with the modified extension to work with SM, and
now it's no longer working. I tried to disabling compatibility for the
extensions, installing xSidebar, and nothing is working. It's an
awesome extension to have installed if you have lots of emails to sort
through on a daily basis.

Anyone have a modified version to work the latest SM?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting, that would be another possibility.

Re: Reopening bug 116801?

2012-01-26 Thread MCBastos
Interviewed by CNN on 25/01/2012 20:40, Justin Wood (Callek) told the
world:

If you encounter it again, a bug resolved as WFM in 2008 is much better
to leave closed, lets plan on filing a new bug...

If you can narrow it down to a small set of Steps To Reproduce, GREAT
and even better if you can find a specific regression range, (even if
its say, sometime between 2.0.14 and 2.1a1 however narrow a range you
 can get, the better!

I'm looking at it. Right now, what I'm observing is that the icons in
the bookmarks revert to the root favicon.ico after a while. This is
easy to observe because I have a number of Wikia-hosted wikis
bookmarked. If I visit the wiki, the custom icon reappears. But...

1. It doesn't happen to ALL Wikia bookmarks. Some of them, for whatever
reason, preserve the custom icon.
2. The time to forget is not clear either. Some wikis I haven't
visited in weeks kept the custom icons; one I visit every day lost it.
Just closing SM and reopening it is not enough to trigger the behavior;
but apparently waiting for about 12 hours is.
3. If I Shift+Refresh the wiki page, I see the generic root Wikia
favicon flash for a fraction of a second before loading the custom icon.
So it appears that Seamonkey is loading favicon.ico FIRST, and replacing
it with a custom icon later. My understanding of the standard is that SM
shouldn't even look for a /favicon.ico if there's a link header for it.

Still... my testcase is not good enough for opening a bug yet. I'll keep
trying to refine it. Also, I'll try to figure out what's different about
the bookmarks which don't lose their custom icons...

SM 2.6.1 Mac - not opening HTML file directly.

2012-01-26 Thread Rufus
SM 2.6.1 Mac won't directly open an HTML file with a double click, as
previous - SM is launched, but the file isn't presented in a Tab or
Browser window. I just get my Home page.

It will open the HTML file, but I have to open SM first and then double
click on the file, or open from the Menu option.

Same behavior using OS 10.6.8 and/or 10.7.2. Is this a known bug?
