Do you use a theme other than the default?

Does the same problem occur in safe mode?

video hosting

2015-11-27 Thread Robert Drury
I'm concerned that browser vendors need to do something to help ensure
people can host their media content easily rather than use
Youtube/Vimeo, etc. My client had a divx plugin installed in Chrome on
Mac which caused Chrome to report a Flash plugin error when viewing MP4
video hosted on the client's site using HMTL5 tags. Bizarre error, but
no surprise given browser plugins. So browser vendors have to make sure
plugins do not push website owners to host all their video at
Youtube/Vimeo/etc. I post this to Mozilla mailing list, and not Google
Chrome, because I personally boycott giant corporations.

But the point is that he need not go through the list. He can subscribe

The point is everyone that signs up for the mailing list has the
information to *Unsubscribe* on the sign up page. All they need to do is
scroll down and read the whole damn page before clicking the *Subscribe*
button. Then bookmark it for future reference.

I received a link to a member options page for both Mozilla mailing
lists that I subscribe to, which also include an *Unsubscribe* section.
I bookmarked both of those pages.

George has probably successfully unsubscribed from the list and we are
spamming it for who knows how many other subscribers.

Apologies to them.

Most likely, George was complaining about his overabundance of email
messages from the list, and not true spam. This is a frequent situation
when people don't know - or remember - how to unsubscribe from it.

He even asked "how I can unsubscribe in order to prevent all the e-mails."
That info is in every message he gets:

PDF Adobe in SeaMonkey

2015-11-27 Thread DoctorBill
I often get Mail where a pdf file needs Adobe
reader to see it.

I have Adobe Reader, but it is not associated with SM.
I have to click on the link that says I don't have
Adobe ! THEN it loads. Kind of clunky.

Is there a way to get the Adobe Reader "into" SM
or have it go there automatically ?

I went to the Add-Ons for SM, but all I saw was
some thing about "Adobe Dynamic Tag Managment
(DTM)" at Mozilla.org

Not enough into jargon and the programming of SM
to understand this stuff.

Can someone enlighten me on this subject ?

There are two basic approaches to this:

1) Save the attachment to your hard disk and open it from there. With
Adobe Reader installed, Windows will already know how to handle PDFs.

2) Open the attachment in SeaMonkey. Right-click the filename in the
attachment pane and choose "Open." If as you say SeaMonkey doesn't know
how to handle PDFs, it will ask for instructions. When you choose Adobe
Reader, check the box telling SM to do this every time it encounters a
PDF and you'll be fine from then on.
