2016-11-22 Thread Mason83
Hello,

As discussed yesterday on IRC.

When I try to connect to https://www.mozdev.org/
I receive the following error message:

www.mozdev.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate expired on 2016-11-11 17:39:38 GMT
Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE

I tried sending an email to feedb...@mozdev.org
but the message bounced:

Does anyone know how to get in touch with someone
from mozdev?

http://www.mozdev.org/feedback.html
http://www.mozdev.org/mailing-lists.html

Perhaps through one of the MLs...

mnenhy 0.8.6.1.h2 works for me in SM 2.46

Basically, I'm satisfied with the 2.40 to 2.46 upgrade on
Windows. I'll give the Linux upgrade another try.

Maybe there is no need to find alternatives for mnenhy.

Independently, two developers have provided an updated
(unofficial) forked version:

By Hartmut Figge -- pointed out by Mc in #seamonkey

It is likely that the original author has stopped working on that
add-on. However, someone else picked up the ball:

https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=26256#c2
https://bitbucket.org/stanio/mnenhy/downloads

Here are the differences between
mnenhy-0.8.6-fx+tb+sm.zip (the original from amo)
and
mnenhy-0.8.6.1.2-stanio.zip (the update from stanio)

https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8930566

Same diff, ignoring white-space changes and lines starting
with "let", "var", or "const"

https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8930568

Ratty and frg said the changes are just syntactic.

I'm asking if there are other Thunderbird add-ons in existence
which implement one of the features listed above.

To put it differently, what are the alternatives to Mnenhy?

I'll try reaching out to Karsten Düsterloh.

haven't used an official release for awhile now, please see original post in
this thread/topic for partial explanation. crash occurred using Seamonkey 2.44
or 2.46 after installing KB3197868. Problem solved by not installing KB3197868,
and installing KB3197867 instead. now using Seamonkey 2.47 with no problems at
all.

this is almost exactly what I did to fix the crashing problem, except I

KB3197867, the "security only" November update rollup for Windows 7. Then I
