Not a SeaMonkey problem, rather a Gmail problem. Lots of complaints
on the web about Gmail defaulting to reply to sender. Here's one
example:

Best workaround here is Reply to All but then manually delete the
extraneous recipient(s).

Sorry.

Okay, for some reason when I checked before with a list message I did
not see Reply to List under Reply in my SeaMonkey. It is also in the
Context Menu. 

Apologies for the noise. I was sure it was a list message. 

In SeaMonkey Mail, the feature is called:  Reply All.

Not in mine. Contradicting what I posted before that it didn't exist.

When I select an email from a mailing list in my Inbox, such as
tb-planning or firefox-dev, Reply to List is under the Reply button in
the Mail Toolbar.

seamonkey composer

2018-05-30 Thread Thomas Loepp

I'm using a mac OS X 10.6.8 and seamonkey 2.33.1
In the old days in Composer it was possible to click to the right of a table
and then using "enter" to place a space under that table and between it and the
next table. There seems to be no way of clicking outside of a table other than
in spaces removed from those tables (above or below)
Now if I have two tables, one on top of the other I can't put a space between
them. I basically have to create a series of "spaces" and then copy and paste
every table again, often losing the links that were established.
Is there an easy way to put spaces between tables?

Thanks.

Email Issues

2018-05-30 Thread Dan Wong
Support,

I have been using SeaMonkey for my browser and email for almost 20 years. I
believe I am on version 2.48.

I had been using GoDaddy to host my marketing consulting website, etc. I
recently retired and closed down my website but kept my domain names
(omniface.com & wonguniverse.com), just in case retirement didn't work out. For
some savings I just moved from my existing email servers to their Office 365
exchange server after GoDaddy assured me there would be no complications.
However, it was naive of me and I find that the folders I had originally set up
have not automatically set up in the new email when I retrieve. The contents,
apparently, do still exist as I can access them via browser, but all attempts
to try and create folders/sub-folders do not seem to work.

GoDaddy techs tell me that there probably is a way to instruct SeaMonkey to
treat the Office 365 server as IMAP and fix things. I would like to continue
using SeaMonkey for my email, as you can imagine, I am comfortable and quite
settled. I am being pushed to use Outlook, unless you can offer a solution.
Please tell me that there is a fix. Thanks.

Dear Sir/Madam:
I am a student from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and I am
doing some research about how to find vulnerabilities automatically. I have
done some tests with Firefox bug commits. And I found that some vulnerable code
of Firefox (related to CVE-2015-4517) appeared in the version 2.49 of Seamonkey
(the latest version). The vulnerable code is in
'mozilla/dom/system/gonk/NetworkUtils.cpp'. I'm just wondering if this means
that the vulnerability of Firefox (CVE-2015-4517) recur in Seamonkey 2.49. If
not, is it fixed in another way?
Thanks for your time, I'll appreciate it very much if you can give an
answer.

Don't know what you mean by "filtering".

Using the Filters on the web site for Recipient, Relationship, Genre and so

If you're talking about this message:
Automatic upgrades from previous versions are, for most
configurations, disabled for this release. Please download
the full installer from the downloads section and install
SeaMonkey 2.49.3 manually over the previous version.

Everybody gets it. It's just a warning that automatic updates don't
work & that you'll have to check

to see if there's a newer version of SeaMonkey available.

It's clear and valid.

You see it because updates from previous versions don't work, and you
possibly have this page set as
your home page.

"Automatic upgrades from previous versions are, for most configurations,
disabled for this release. If you need to upgrade from an earlier
version, please download the full installer from the downloads section
and install SeaMonkey 2.49.3 manually over the previous version."

It doesn't say your version isn't current.

Is that clear?

Try this page.

If one wanted to check and see if maybe the possible ROP problem
really was the result of executing a piece of malicious code from a

I tried this:
C:\Temp>type startSM-with-logging.bat

@rem set

@rem nsHttp:3 log only http request and response headers

set MOZ_LOG_FILE=%TEMP%\sm-log.txt

"c:\Program Files (x86)\SeaMonkey\SeaMonkey.exe"

which is 1) more verbose than I'd like and 2) not so easy to parse.
Is there some other way to keep track of what all SeaMonkey gets off the web?

Thanks

This is a security problem. According to Sophos, Seamonkey is doing
something
it should not be doing, perhaps executing a piece of malicious code from a
web
site?

I've seen the problem more often now, and I wonder if someone can have a
look
at it?

What is ROP? I found 4 possible expansions for that abbreviation.
Remote Operation
Readout Protection
Return-oriented Programming
RISC Operation (Reduced Instruction Set Code)

Take a look at about:support
Especially "Important Modified Preferences" section.

Does anything suspicious stand out?

As Stanimir points out, image does not load if Javascript for the
page is disabled (either globally or through NoScript).

Re: Images not displaying on brickset.com

2018-05-30 Thread Stanimir Stamenkov via support-seamonkey

Wed, 30 May 2018 19:26:53 +1000, _Jonathan Wilson_:

When I visit a URL like
https://brickset.com/sets/79111-1/Constitution-Train-Chase I should see
a picture of a train. If I visit using an alternative browser (Internet
Explorer in this case) or with a fresh profile for testing, the image
shows up. But on my primary SeaMonkey profile, I can't see the images.

I am using SeaMonkey 2.49.3 (the latest release version).

I have tested a restart in safe mode (on my primary profile) and the
images are still gone (so that rules out adblock or any other add-ons
being the cause)

Anyone know what could cause the images not to display?

Have you by any chance disabled JavaScript?

I have attempted
to check the permissions by going to "preferences-privacy and
security-images" and pressing "manage permissions" which displays a
"data manager" window but that doesn't work (SM hangs for a bit then
displays an error that dataman.js is too slow or something and stops
running the script, the dialog does nothing after that)

Is there a way to see/edit any image related permissions that may be set
without needing to use the "data manager"? Is there a way to get the
"data manager" to work without crashing (and without me needing to
delete any of my stored cookies or other stored data?)

Is anyone else having problems filtering cards on Hallmark.com's web site?

2018-05-30 Thread Ant via support-seamonkey
For an example:
https://www.hallmark.com/birthday/birthday-cards/?navMenuSubTitle=By%20Occasion=Main%20Menu=Birthday=Header=Cards

I tried changing SeaMonkey v2.49.3's user agent, enabling send referers,
disabling ad blocker, etc. :(
