imdb.com: images displaying or not

2018-10-18 Thread Felix Miata
Opening any https://www.imdb.com/ page (e.g.
) using
gtk3-built
UA ID: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101
SeaMonkey/2.49.4; Build ID:
20180711183816
from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/releases/2.49.4/linux-x86_64/en-US/
no images display except for a (full page) background image.

Using any same URL from imdb using gtk2-built 2.49.4-1.22
UA ID: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101
SeaMonkey/2.49.4; Build ID:
2018021500
from ttp://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_Leap_42.3/
all images of any kind display.

This is using openSUSE 42.3 with the exact same profile (with CZ, but not
email) for either, and
startup commands:

seamonkey -no-remote -P profilename (for the rpm version in
/usr/bin/seamonkey)
/path/to/seamonkey -no-remote -P profilename (for mozilla.org version)

This is with no user CSS, and these extensions:
ChatZilla 0.9.93 true
Copy As Plain Text 1.0.9.1-signed true
DOM Inspector 2.0.17.0true
MyDirListing0.1.201702150300true
PDF Viewer 1.5.336 true
Preserve Download Modification Timestamp2011.03.21.22.1-signed.1-signed
true
Old Default Image Style 3.0.6.1-signed.1-signed false

With another profile, which includes email but not CZ, with NoScript forbidding
scripts, and
user CSS, all images load.

I'm not sure when this started happening, maybe as much as a month ago. I also
tried
mozilla.org's 2.49.3, which misbehaves same as 2.49.4 from mozilla.org. I'm not
aware of any
other differences between the openSUSE and mozilla.org builds.

Replacing gtk3-branding-openSUSE with gtk3-branding-upstream, and substituting
UA string
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0
did not help.

Mozilla.org's Firefox ESR 52.9 also displays all images.

What could cause this inexplicable behavioral difference?

My SM profile's storage is big!

2018-10-18 Thread Ant via support-seamonkey

Hello.

My
C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\whatever.default\storage\
is big (423 MB) especially in its temporary location (371 MB). How do I
clear them out? Clearing caches doesn't do anything to it. From what I
read, it seems to be related to offsite website data, but clearing my
private data for it didn't work too.

I see stuff since 12/22/2016. I know I installed SM v2.46 back in late
October 2016 due to a nasty HDD's click of death crash that forced me to
clean install 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 and all of my softwares like SM. :(

Is deleting it in Windows' Explorer without SM running OK/safe or is
there something else I missed?

I hope to get an answer soon. :)

All Emails Not DL'g In New Profile... SM 2.49.4, W 10 Pro, Lenovo Laptop

2018-10-18 Thread bo1953
Hello all, after making a new profile, I had only 75 emails from 2016 dl
and then 45 emails from 2018 dl... everything in between no populating...

This is for my Gmail account, any ideas or suggestions as to where I
have gone astray and how to correct?

If I can only dl the emails for 2018, I would be happier as it were... ;-)

TIA - bo1953

I go to my ISP's Web site and download the latest month's log of
visitors to my Web site. I browse through the log to pick out newer UA
strings for Opera, Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge. I then manually
update the PrefBar list of UA strings.

Since I am using Windows 7 (and will not update), I generally ignore UA
strings specific to Windows 10. If you nevertheless want to see my
list, please reply here; and I will make it available.

Since you apparently got the files, I will remove them from my Web site.
But I will wait 24 hours before doing that unless you reply differently.

A JPEG image of my useragent Exlist is at

The actual PrefBar "button" is at
. Delete your existing
"button", download my UA_strings.btn file, and import it into PrefBar.
Importing will NOT work unless you delete the old version.

Alternatively, you can download UA_strings.btn and open it in Wordpad or
Notepad (NOT Word). Then, manually update your useragent Exlist by
copying individual UA strings from UA_strings.btn.

Excellent! Thanks.

Re: Is anyone else getting annoyed with SM being really slow on some web sites these days?

2018-10-18 Thread Frank-Rainer Grahl
I only notice the usual javascript bloat. Without Noscript and uBlock the web
would be unusable for me these days.

I am mostly on 2.53 and it feels faster too but 2.49.4 is still ok for me.
2.57 should bring some further improvements.
