Re: 32bit & 64bit SM questions.

Questions:
1. What is fixed in v2.49.5 from v2.49.4?
2. Is there a
http://www.wg9s.com/comm-esr/seamonkey-2.49.4.en-US.win64.zip somewhere?

work in both versions. The x64 version only supports Flash if you
still use plugins. It will update DOMi to 2.0.17.2. I never found the
time to put the updated version on AMO.

If unsure do a profile backup and just try it. I also use NoScript
5.1.9 together with uBlock 1.16.4.4. You memory problems might well be

A couple questions:

1. Is the official Mac SeaMonkey 64-bit or 32-bit for Mac OS X

and 500 GB SSD?

2. In my updated 64-bit W7 HPE SP1, my 32-bit SM is slow with some
web sites especially with muliple tabs like on YouTube, Google
News, LinkedIn, etc. For an example, it can go up to almost 3 GB of
RAM with about 10 HTML5 YouTube video tabs (not playing all at the
same time, just buffering them with one video playing). I don't
have this problem in MBP. I wonder if it is capped at 3 GB of RAM
since it is a 32-bit process even though I am using a 64-bit OS.

I hope someone can answer my technical questions. Thank you for

You need to close SeaMonkey.

What I usually do:

removing storage dir
removing storage.*
removing webappsstore.*

Might not be so easy to do this in 2.57 because web extensions
actually use this but for 2.49.x and 2.53 it is so far fine.
Check the prefs under Advanced->Offline Apps so that not every site

from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/releases/2.49.4/linux-x86_64/en-US/
no images display except for a (full page) background image.

Using any same URL from imdb using gtk2-built 2.49.4-1.22

all images of any kind display.

This is using openSUSE 42.3 with the exact same profile (with CZ, but not
email) for either, and
startup commands:

seamonkey -no-remote -P profilename (for the rpm version in
/usr/bin/seamonkey)
/path/to/seamonkey -no-remote -P profilename (for mozilla.org version)

This is with no user CSS, and these extensions:

Preserve Download Modification Timestamp2011.03.21.22.1-signed.1-signed
true
Old Default Image Style 3.0.6.1-signed.1-signed false

With another profile, which includes email but not CZ, with NoScript forbidding
scripts, and
user CSS, all images load.

I'm not sure when this started happening, maybe as much as a month ago. I also
tried
mozilla.org's 2.49.3, which misbehaves same as 2.49.4 from mozilla.org. I'm not
aware of any
other differences between the openSUSE and mozilla.org builds.

UA string
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0
did not help.

Mozilla.org's Firefox ESR 52.9 also displays all images.

What could cause this inexplicable behavioral difference?
