I see this sometimes in my 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 PC with SM v2.49.5 web 
browser. I just use its https://www.theonion.com/rss feed. :P

If this is what I think it is, it should only happen when you use the
SMTP server from Verizon/AOL/Yahoo/...

Try setting (for example, in about:config) the mail.strictly_mime
preference to true, which, if I understand correctly, will make
Mail&News use quoted-printable for outgoing messages.

Known issue with certain servers.





If you don't want to read all of that information.

In SeaMonkey browser type about:config into the address bar.

Search for the "mail.strictly.mime" preference and toggle it to "true".

Quit and restart your SeaMonkey.
