It is a checkbox that I created and added to PrefBar. Creating such
 checkboxes is easy.

If you want my checkbox, do the following:

 1. Go to .

 2. Right-click on HTML5_media.btn, select "Save Link Target As" from
the pull-down context menu, and indicate in the resulting window where
you want to download the file.

 3. Right-click on the PrefBar tool bar, and select "Customize PrefBar"
 in the pull-down context menu.

 4. In the list of PrefBar objects on the right side of the PrefBar
window, under Enabled Items, right-click and select Import in the
 pull-down context menu.

 5. In the resulting window, navigate to where you saved
HTML5_media.btn, select the file, and then select the Open button.

 6. The checkbox will have been added to the bottom of the Enabled Items
list as "HTML5 Media". You can drag it up to another position, which
will determine where on the PrefBar toolbar it will appear.

With a checkmark in the checkbox, HTML5 media is enabled. With no
 checkmark, it is disabled.

After inporting the checkbox into PrefBar, you can deleted the
HTML5_media.btn file from where you downloaded it. In two weeks, I will
remove the file from my Web site.

I just now tried it, and I was able to move a button by dragging it. I
tried it again, specifically with the HTML5 Media checkbox; and I was
able to move it.

Oops!! My error You have to left-click on the item under Enabled
Items, not right-click.  As you drag the item, the cursor is an arrow;
you should see a small rectangular outline attached to the bottom of the
arrow. The destination of the item will at the point of the arrow when
you release the left mouse button.

NOTE: You can also drag from Available Items to Enabled Items or
vice-versa.

I reinstalled 2.53.1 from scratch but, instead of trying a new test profile, I
just started SM with add-ons disabled.

The Window menu item worked as expected where each time you click it the
drop-down appears.

I then restarted SM normally (i.e add-ons enabled) and it also worked as normal.

So it seems one of my add-ons was causing my problem but I don't really
understand how disabling and then re-enabling them fixed it!?!?

See my step #6. You do that in the PrefBar window that was launched in
step #3.

Re: SeaMonkey 2.53.1 released!

Greetings,

The SeaMonkey Project is pleased to announce the release of SeaMonkey
2.53.1!

So please check out [1] or [2].

Updates are still not available via Check-for-updates unfortunately.

Thanks to all involved,

Edmund

NB: Personal note, I've never understood the concept of the
archive.mozilla.org caching. While I've uploaded all the stuff to
releases/2.53.1/, I'm still seeing only the top 4 text files and
langpacks + linux* paths. No mac, win32 or win64 or updates.
So maybe I'll need to wait. Please check. (I'm hoping I hadn't
screwed up somewhere... I mean.. it *isn't* the first time
I've uploaded to archive... *sigh*)

A minor moan: The "Installation and Uninstallation" instructions -
https://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/install-and-uninstall - tell you
how to install under Windows 2000/XP, Vista is also mentioned.
Don't try that at home, folks! The Release Notes -
https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.53.1/ - make that
clear.

Hello!
The new release is certainly good. But the problem with the disable
updates for individual feeds will not go away, so I had to stay on the
previous version 2.49.5 because this problem gives me a lot of
inconvenience.
Please tell me how can I contact the developers to let them know about
this problem?

Thank you for your answers and help.
With respect and best regards Anastasia, Kiev, Ukraine.

Frank-Rainer Grahl is one of the SM Devs and he posts here often, so he
has probably seen your complaint and, if it is a widely experienced
problem, he will possible get the Devs on to it!

Isn't SeaMonkey v2.53.1's web browser supposed to be using the faster Gecko web engine?

YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. are still slow and taking up a lot of
