 1) Forward inline, and edit the address fields as you see fit. In the case of
forwarding as plain text: Original Message Subject:

However, if youforward asHTML (see below), you need to delete the entire
table row (place the cursor in any cell in the row andclickthe (X) at the
left edge of the cell) or else the underlying code will still contain the
email link(s). It's not enough to just delete the address and leave the rest
of the From: row. Original Message Subject:Forwarding

 2) If you need to forward as an attachment, I don't have a simple solution,
only a workaround for advanced users. Perhaps someone else can offer
something better.a) Within SeaMonkey, copy the message to a temporaryfolder
so that it's the only message in that folder.b) Close SeaMonkey.c) Locate the
temporary folder within your SeaMonkey profile folder (sorry, can't offer
details for Mac) and open it with a plain-text editor.d) In the message
header, locate the addresses you want to strip and delete them. Save the
file.e) Restart SeaMonkey and look at the message in the temporary folder.
The address fields should be blank.f) Forward the edited copy, not the
original. The original message that you copied at the beginning should be
intact, even if you fouled up the copy.-- War doesn't determine who's right,
 just who's left. -- Paul B. Gallagher

Thanks - I was hoping there was a setting in Preferences even if I
couldn't find one. Original email addresses can be stripped
(laboriously) by using the 'edit message as new' function but surely,
if Micro$oft Outlook Express can provide it as an optional function,
SeaMonkey can too ?

removal of address from seamonkey list

Hi,
I entered my email address to receive mail from this group in error. I
do not know how to take my name off this list. I would be grateful if
you could send me an email and tell me what to do, exactly please, to
remove my name off this list and get no more emails.

Thank you very much.

Font size changes seemingly on its own,

2012-09-20 Thread anne
Hi, I'm in one of those darn loops and can't see the problem.

I uploaded the page so you can see what I'm talking about. Down in the last
quarter or so of the page I've got a series of FAQS. As you can see the font
size starts to reduce until it's darn near invisible.

http://aboutwritingsquared.com/join2xx.htm

It shows correctly in the preview.

I erased everything from the first wrong sized faq and started over... got into
trouble with the right hand column... had to re-ad it.

Can you help me spot what's not closing or what's getting added and tell me how
to both fix it and avoid it in the future?

Thanks So much!

  Yes,
You can reply inline instead of replying as attachment !
You can then edit out the un-desired lines.

I agree ... we can delete anything (in a text or in a html forwarded
 mail) we see
IF - Edit - Preferences - Mails and Newsgroup - Composition
The first option in General MUST be inline instead of As
Attachment ... don't forget to click on OK after change(if any)

Thanks for the replies - but that means any images etc in the email
are lost. What I want to do is forward the whole email, images and
all but without the original sender's email address.

I've just worked out how to do it - open the email to be forwarded,
select 'edit message as new', remove the old email addresses and send
as html. Works well.

Anne, I post and read directly from the news.mozilla.org server and I
can see the French letters you've post in the Title of this thread.
Can you?? (just to eliminate a problem at your end)

Yes, I can.

I always can *read* the titles.
It is only when I reply to some messages that the title desappears in my
answer, and lets me wit a Re: [nothing].

I have to copy the title from te original message and paste it in the
Subject line.

There is no problem with my personal email, and no problem too when I
