It's a calendar event extension that keeps appintment info for you, and reminds you when/how you've defined a given event. Once installed, there's a calendar icon available to use in customizing your tool bars in both Browser and Mail. Create a reminder for someone's birthday, draft the email and when the reminder pops up, you send the message.
