Shift|left click & select multiple newsgroups|right click|Mark
Newsgroups Read (or ctl-k) works in Thunderbird 52.7.0.

Selecting more than one newsgroup is not possible in SeaMonkey.

Shift-left click works fine for me, at least within one server
(m.s.seamonkey and m.d.a.seamonkey).

Selecting more than one works, marking all newsgroups read after
selecting them does not work.

Ditto.

It looks like there are a couple that yours could be a duplicate of
doing a quick search.

This one is for Thunderbird.

Always has in the latest versions I've used.

I think bug 240209 was for making it work at the Account level.

Thanks. I guess it won't happen. :(

Do some research on how selecting multiple newsgroups in the Folder Pane
in Thunderbird, right clicking and using Mark Newsgroups Read works there.

Then write a patch for SeaMonkey, build SeaMonkey to test the patch,
then submit the patch for review in your bug report. I think that's how
it works.

With one exception, no newsreader application -- including SeaMonkey and
Thunderbird -- can change the status of newsgroup messages on a server.

I suspect the OP was talking about marking messages as read, or as junk,
or setting their priority, or some other local function. Nobody else
needs to know how I personally mark the various messages on my machine.

Oops. Mark all READ. Yes.
