Here's a link that works fine in SM, but in IE I get a red x (both 32

you get?

Works fine in both. Java took a moment to load in IE (coffee icon),
otherwise no difference.

Tom, I don't have IE installed (I'm on Linux), and, apparently don't
have Java installed either (one day!!), but somethings going off in my
mind about SM and IE using different versions of Java, or needing Java
installed in different location, or something like that.

I could be wrong, though!!

For Windows, there are different versions of Flash between IE and
Gecko-based applications; but there is only one Windows version of Java,
which applies to both IE and Gecko.

Oh, well, I should've mentioned that I'm using Java 7 Update 7 (7.0.70).
I also have something called Java FX 2.1.1.

Java is installed correctly. It just looks like IE is not recognizing it
for some reason.

I did a master reset of all IE settings. That fixed it - both 32 and 64-bit.
