I use SM 2.04, and recently the Weather Channel made changes in their

I noticed though, that they show a Firefox extension for Weather and
wondered if anyone here had ever tried it? [The Weather Channel app. is
built around IE.] I don't plan to change from SM, but I could use
Firefox just for that, when needed.

P.S. -
I should have said, the error message said Active X was missing or
non-working. I considered that a good thing until now. ;)

Hubby uses Forecastfox in SM 2.0.4 without a problem.

How neat! That is the same extension the WC had linked to for
Firefox. I didn't know it worked for SM too.

Thanks!!!

If you are using SM, give Forecastbar Enhanced 0.9.6 a try.

http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/modifiedmisc.html#forecastbarenhanced

It has alerts, pop up animated weather map, and several other options to
use.

Or, if you don't use xsidebar as an option, you can also give
Forecastbar Enhanced a try as well.

I haven't tried forecast enhanced myself, but it looks legit. I
personally use xsidebar and many of Phil's kind and generous offerings
of add-ons never converted to SM by their original authors.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Glen... I downloaded the Forecastfox bar, since it was the same
one promoted by the WC. Appreciate the quick response, and I'll check
these out, if it fails me. :)

bj,

Both of the items I suggested are actually Forecastfox, just modified to
properly work within SM. I accidently duplicated the same name in what
I wrote above, but they are, in essence, all the same program just
altered by different authors.

xsidebar is loaded with a slew of modified add-ons, a definite review,
imo.

Good luck.
