SM 2.0 Forwarding and Wrapping

2009-12-04 Thread Sqwertz
When I post long URLs they are wrapping. In previous versions this did
not happen. It left the complete URL in tact on one line. It is
unacceptable to wrap URL's.

Also, I can't seem to find the setting "Forward messages as
". It's defaulting to attachments, which is also ugly.

I've been over all the options in the UI and can't find any settings to be
able to change either of these behaviors.

SM 2.0 is beginning to seem like a step backward more and more.

This has always been like that, afaik. Just enclose your url in <>
brackets and common mail/news-readers will be able to recognize
multilined links/urls.
example:

Or, "about:config" preference "mail.forward_message_mode". Set it to "0"
for attachment, "1" for inline. -JW

In SM 1.1.18 and below typing or copying a link as long as above would
not break and would be a continuous line such as above.

I have noticed though SM2 does break it but remains active or if it
breaks while typing it does show at destination as one continuous link.

Also from Main Menu choose Message then mouse down to Forward Inline.

That needs fixed, IMO. Along with the age-old behavior as "Paste as

When I meet the situation where I'm only offered the "Paste as
Quotation" option, I usually do "Paste as quotation", the delete the
">"'s, so that it, effectively becomes a "Paste"!!
