Still working without complaints here on 2.49.1. One difference
might be that
I'm using it through AT&T. That is, Yahoo is (or was) AT&Ts
default email

provider.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0

Was working for me also in 2.49.1 but not working in 2.49.2. What
changed?

I've just updated to 2.49.2 and still no problem logging into
"Classic" Yahoo web mail.

Maybe it's because I've never switched to the new interface (ie,
you can't go back)?

The way to go back is to use Firefox to go into your Yahoo email
preferences and change to classic.

I've done this about 5 times now. It continues to change
automatically to the newer version on its own every two weeks. It's
becoming a pain.
I just tested now http://mail.yahoo.com/  with my SM and yahoo mail
ask me to go to the new version with a button to say NO .

I click on it so I use always the old version.
When I click on NO, it does nothing.. it acts as if there is no script
behind the button. So I can't use Yahoo in SM anymore.
Perhaps you have disabled scripting ... I have no idea why "it does
nothing" - perhaps an plugin or extension ...

Depending which link I use to get to my Yahoomail account, I can get to
either the old or the new interface.

Seems to me "they" are trying to force everyone to use the new,
"improved" interface because "they" include an (undeleteable) advert at
the top of the inbox on the old interface. I don't recall seeing one in
the new, "improved" inbox interface or is it just that I haven't
used the new, "improved" interface much!!

As I remember you need to go into your Yahoo email preferences to classic.

But if you have decided to use their new web interface you got only a

With this situation, you cannot go into your Yahoo email preferences and

The only way is to close SM then use FireFox for going into your Yahoo

Close FireFox and start SM - then you can again access your Yahoo mail by

What are you trying to do? I just sent a message from my Yahoo account
to my Charter account, in SM 2.48.

Are you trying to operate Yahoo mail from the WEB with the browser? If
so, why?

I log into my Yahoo mail account using the following User Agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0
SeaMonkey/2.48

Never any problems with Yahoo using that UA

Can you log-in with 2.30, 2.32, 2.33, 2.35, 2.38, 2.39, 2.40, or 2.46?
Maybe an even earlier version?

The reporter didn't state which SeaMonkey version they are using.

How and where are you seeing this message? Can you provide a screenshot
of the message? And, like someone else mentioned, do you have any
addons that are email related?

We need more information.

What version of SeaMonkey on what operating system?

Do you have Advertise Firefox Compatibility enabled? (If your version of
SeaMonkey supports it).

Is it a suggestion or an order? (can you dismiss the nag and proceed
normally?)
