[svg-developers] Is there a way to disable opera's default Ctrl+Click = zoom behaviour?
It appears that the default UI behaviour for a Ctrl+left-click on an SVG image in opera is to zoom in a notch. I'd like to use Ctrl+left-click in my application, and so I'm wondering if there is a way to disable this default behaviour. I'd appreciate any guidance anyone can offer. I wish I had a good answer, so am contemplating having students do comparisons of several as a class project. Perhaps some of you have some ideas. The ones I'm currently thinking of throwing into the mix for evaluation are: Opera Dragonfly Firefox/Firebug Mozilla/SeaMonkey HTMLKit oXygen notepad++ Aptana Studio Nvu TextPad Eclipse Inkscape (has XML mode) Others?? Firebug is a great, great tool for SVG development, particularly if you're constructing interactive documents, but I've only been able to make it work when the SVG is wrapped in an XHTML context. This means creating a compound document, like the one here: http://www.croczilla.com/svg/samples/dom1/dom1.xml Just make sure that everything is properly namespaced when you add new DOM nodes, and don't assume that your SVG root is equivalent to document.documentElement, and everything should be fine. i've committed revision 30 :

onbegin, onend and onrepeat are partially implemented.
I use eval() and it is not a correct event management.
I'll not release this revision, as it is far from being complete.
Practically, you won't have access to the event ("evt" or "event") in
your handler, and addEventListener is not supported.
All it does is call eval() with the attribute value, when the event occurs.
