Re: [swinog] Urgent request to clear DNS cache for cablecom.net

2010-06-11 Diskussionsfäden Tissieres, Jerome
From behind SWITCH; www.cablecom.ch is not known and www.cablecom.net
goes to a godaddy sponsor page.
I've tried with VTX DNS, same.

From Google (8.8.8.8) it seems better.

I didn't read the press, what's happened?

Thanks,
Jerome

the old cybernet dns servers are flushed, but:

I cannot reach www.cablecom.net - I suppose this is correct,
since www.cablecom.ch is still working, right?

I've added martin from swisscom as BCC - as he takes care of the
bluewin DNS servers.

[swinog] RE : RE : 4MB over copper pa irs

2009-05-19 Diskussionsfäden Tissieres, Jerome
Hi,

I confirm. And depending on the line quality you can go at higher speed.

Here I use a pair of Zyxel P793 on a Swisscom MC2 (only one pair) of ~ 1km and
I reach 6,5Mbps.

Cheers,
Jerome

Hi,

You can use gSHDSL.bis modem like Zyxel P-793h or Thomson TG605s. You can
choose CPE/CO mode in the configuration.
On 2 pairs, you can reach 8MB approximately.

Hi Guys,

I got a 2 pair copper and I am looking for a product to offer Ethernet
connectivity at speed of 4mbps or higher. Distance is about 1km and the copper
is in the same local loop.

Any Ideas?

Cheers,
Reza

Re: [swinog] IP Management Tool

2008-11-13 Diskussionsfäden Tissieres, Jerome
Hi Matthias, hi all,

I've searched something like this during years at VTX and finally we develop
internally our own tool.

I've also tried NorthStar in the past with Nicolas Strina. It's an open source
project but there was a lot of bugs and the project seems abandoned...

So, I can't help you, sorry. But I'm still interested if anybody knows
something working well. :)

Regards,
Jerome

 Subject: [swinog] IP Management Tool

 Hi

I'm looking for a new IP-Management tool. Currently we are using IPPlan,
 which does mainly
what we like, but is not very easy to use.

 What we like to do:

 - IPv4 Subnet Allocation to Customers
 - IPv6 Subnet Allocation to Customers
 - Single IP documentation within Subnets
 - See free Space
 - See usage ratio of Subnets and Blocks
 - Export for RIPE database would be nice

Does somebody of you use something like this or can recommend a tool.

 Regards

   Matthias
