It is a team of volunteers led by Dave Williams. It started with an 
AI-based translation of the World English Bible. It is now being 
proofread to make sure that we caught all of the AI mistakes. The result 
will also be in the Public Domain.

I did try several years ago with the Imprensa bíblica brasileira of
the Junta de educação religiosa e publicações of the Convenção batista
brasileira, about their Versão revisada de acordo com os melhores
textos.  They told me they would get back to me, it never happened and
I never tried again.  Also with Sociedade bíblica brasileira about
their Tradução brasileira, got them to agree it was in the public
domain but never got a digital text.

This is not obvious, but you can tap the blue verse number to select the verse 
and hopefully pull up the notes. Let me know if that doesn't work.

We have a portuguese modern bible, but not from Brazilian Portuguese. 
But the contact may be interesting if you want. Try the PorCap module 
from the Crosswire repo. I know personally the brother who was involved 
in the project.
