Re: [Tagging] [RFC] Feature Proposal - Industrial tagging scheme complementing man made=works (was:works:type and works:process)
Hi Martin, I've moved some text around and made the Proposal section a lot shorter - hopefully much easier to read now. Re: [Tagging] [RFC] Feature Proposal - Industrial tagging scheme complementing man made=works (was:works:type and works:process)
Hi all, This proposal has now been updated on feedback, both here and on the talk page. I've moved it to a more descriptive title: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposal:Industrial_tagging_scheme_complementing_man_made%3Dworks In general, the changes are to split out into separate tags some concepts that were being confused in the original two processed tags. These concepts are things like: - What industry's supply chain does this facility form part of? (industry=) - Where in the supply chain is this facility? (works:stage=) - What does this facility do? (works=) - How does it do it? (works:method=) - What item does this facility take as input? (works:input=) works:type became just works, and works:process became works:method. Thanks all for your valuable feedback so far, and particularly for taking the time to have lengthy discussions to work out these individual concepts.
