Re: [Tails-dev] BitTorrent download section in website

wondering how one can verify something before downloading it.

Obviously the it refers to the Torrent in the previous sentence,
meaning the ISO and the sig.

I know this is a tiny issue but maybe referring explicitly to the ISO
 would help?

Definitely. It should be avoided as much as possible in technical
documentation. Thanks for pointing that out.

I used ISO image which is more consistent with our terminology than
ISO and less ambiguous than content (I think).

If you're looking for more easy documentation tasks, I would suggest
#6636 which is also OpenPGP oriented :) But I really don't mean to

Re: [Tails-dev] [review'n'merge:1.2.1] bugfix/7678-Tails-Installer-crashes-on-upgrade

2015-01-07 Thread kurono
Hi,

I confirm the patch fixes the issue.

A tiny comment though: as @toplevels@ is only used once, so why not
 to write one less line:

 pre -toplevels = config['liveos_toplevel_files'] -
 for f in toplevels: +for f in
 config['liveos_toplevel_files']: /pre

Ok the new version is in
http://git.tails.boum.org/kurono/liveusb-creator/ the branch is the
same bugfix/7678-Tails-Installer-crashes-on-upgrade.

Cheers.

[Tails-dev] ideas about windows camouflage

2015-01-07 Thread goupille
Hi !

someone give us some feedback about the Windows 8 camouflage :

the user seems to use Tails a lot in cybercafe places, and says that
Windows 8 is pretty much never used in that kind of places.
apparently, it is more common to find Windows seven or XP on their
machines.

the second feedback is about wallpapers. apparently the one
displaying a city is far more used than the one with flowers.

this user workaround these issues keeping wallpapers matching
the windows versions he encounter most in his persistent directory.

maybe shipping the default windows wallpapers from XP to 8 would be
a good idea ?

cheers.
