RE: Loss of letters when typing
Hi Mike, Press Insert-2, not the two on the NumPad, but the other one, and press it repeatedly until you hear Keyboard voice on with characters. Now, assuming your Scope for this setting is set to global in the current set file, this will be the default global setting, but then you must open the Window-Eyes control panel and press Control-S to save it globally. FW: The Sea Battle Game Enhanced Is For Sale On Amazon
Hi, As requested by the app author; I'm forwarding updated info about how to find his app on the Amazon site. The best of the season, Rod -Original Message- From: LB [mailto:lab...@fltg.net] Sent: December 20, 2015 8:59 PM To: Rod HuttonSubject: The Sea Battle Game Enhanced Is For Sale On Amazon Hi Rod, I added the direct link to the page the Sea Battle game is on. It did not get on the scripting list yet and don't know why. But if you could post it on the talk list instead of waiting go ahead. Bruce and Bronx Sent: Sunday, December 20, 2015 6:45 PM Subject: Re: The Sea Battle Game Enhanced Is For Sale On Amazon Hi Everyone, The Amazon Sea Battle Link Is: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B018TLIR3S Previous Posting: I also forgot to mention that the new game voice adjustments and speaker adjustments are the F2, F3, and F4 keys. I got rid of the Home, End, PageUp and Down key adjustments. This new game on Amazon has different speaker and voice settings and the hotkeys are: The F2 key adjust and test speakers and headset for you, which will change orientation without you moving the speakers or your headset for your ears. The F3 key adjusts all player voices. You select which player, including computer than hit the enter key to adjust it's voice, volume, rate, and pitch. Also, the SAPI voices are in this option as well, just use the right arrow key to select the SAPI player adjustments. It automatically comes up with Windoweyes player voice settings, so cursor right for SAPI and cursor left to go back to Windoweyes voices. The left and right arrow keys takes you to which setting to adjust in all cases for player voices. The up and down arrows adjust each selections adjustments. Now the F4 key is for which voice engine to use, When pressed it toggles back and forth from using Windoweyes voices or SAPI voices that you have set for each player. The game comes with 18 background sounds and 5 Jukebox music files. As I state below, you can either search for the files you want or just copy using the clipboard and paste them into which list you want them in. These are the other features for this game that are different from the original game I have posted on Windoweyes. So have fun with both the game and the Jukebox when you decide to download the Amazon Sea Battle game/Jukebox. Sincerely Bruce Brute Vision Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2015 6:26 PM Subject: The Sea Battle Game Enhanced Is For Sale Hi! For Christmas those who have downloaded Sea battle and no people who would like to play it is now for sale on Amazon. Not available in Canada until January according to Amazon. It is called: "Sea Battle For The Visually Impaired Enhanced" The purchased form of Sea battle has the Jukebox as well to play the MP3 music and the choices of any background sounds or music you wish to listen to while playing the game. This enhanced version of the game corrects against errors if searching for files on a CD drive or USB port that is not available and will tell you without shutting down. Besides that feature which only stores address paths for the file the enhanced version allows you to copy/cut and paste files to the respective folder you want the music/sound to be listed in. In other words you can paste files into the background folder or the Jukebox play list folder, or both if you so desire. When going into the background play list all added files will be listed immediately but in the Jukebox play list those added files only show up if you press the F9 key after entering the Jukebox play list. Not listing them immediately inside the Jukebox prevents problems arising if you want to edit the play list before adding new and disturbing any list presently playing. Also, added to this is the display of all moves inside the game or in any section of the Sea Battle/Jukebox you may be in. All display is done in the Title Bar and it will display which player is playing, what square, or ocean section there on. It also displays the presently selected music file or any hotkey function that gets pressed. This does allow sighted users to play the game while getting use to voices. Besides the ability to get feed back of what you have just done. For if a player is playing they can read the Title Bar to know what was presently spoken... So, the game is on Amazon now with the ability to add more SAPI voices if you need to and still uses Windoweyes as the reader/voice unless you select SAPI. It is also installed in your Program Files folder instead of in your Windoweyes default folder. This will allow easier access to you music files and have your game portable by just copying that folder onto all of your computers and moving copies of your Shortcut files for that folder either by CD or your network from your desktop... So just go to Amazon and search either by typing: "Sea

Re: utube video
Another idea you might consider is using a program called SongR, which will let you copy a URL of a video or any other Youtube file to the clipboard, and paste it into the download from youtube dialog box, and convert it to .mp3. Depending on the size of the file, it might take less than 10 seconds for a two minute song, or maybe a minute or less to convert an hour long presentation. I use it constantly, and I've found nothing better for accomplishing these kinds of tasks. Good luck, Larry On 12/20/2015 2:29 PM, via Talk wrote: This is Probably the hard way to do this, but this is what I do. I used Gold Wave to record the video playing. I then end the recording, edit the beginning and ending of this file, and save it as an MP3 file. A second way is to use a web site that converts Youtube videos to MP3. Start the video, then copy the URL. Go to that Special web site and Paste the URL into the correct spot. Choose a Button labeled Convert and it takes a few minutes. You are then able to download the newly created file. I am doing this on a Win 7 system with 9.3. Compared to recording with Gold Wave, using this Web Site is much faster. The web site converted a a45 minute video in just a few minutes. The problem I ran into, was that the web site notified me that I needed to install something called Flash Player Pro. Even though I had never heard of this program, I chose to download and install it. When I did this, I started getting warned by AVG that this file is wanting to install and it may not be a good idea.So I canceled the download of the Flash Player Pro. I may try it again when I look up who and what Flash Player Pro is, and if this works out, using the Web Site would be the fastest and cleanest way to obtain an MP3 file of any video found on Youtube. Now you all are wanting to know the address to the Converting Web site, so it is found below. http://2conv.com/ Dave ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: Loss of speech
Interesting, I wonder why when I removed WE 9.3 and reinstalled WE 9.2, it works again? I’m still running windows 7. From: Curtis Delzer Sent: Saturday, December 19, 2015 9:36 AM To: Russ Kiehne ; Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Re: Loss of speech Russ, I had to re-install the drivers for my triple talk as well as unplug / re-plug in my synth so the drivers themselves would re-initialize. After a windows 10 update, not only did I have an issue with the USB triple talk, but my sound scheme I'd been using for years became corrupted and my computer would lock up when sounds were generated, certain sounds, not always the same ones. I solved it by just loading a default scheme and re-loading my "old friend" scheme. :) This scheme contains many of the sounds which use to come with windows. :) At 06:49 AM 12/19/2015, you wrote: Speaking of the loss of speech issue. Is there anyone using WE 9.3 with a TripleTalk usb? After I upgraded to 9.3, I had WLM 2012 crash several times when reading messages as well as lose speech. However, this afternoon, I've lost speech and had to restart WE three times. Twice, speech was lost after opening a link in an email in WLM 2009. One was a Kepler update from NASA and the other was alink in an weekly update from the city of Royal Oak, Michigan. The third loss of speech happened while using the OCR pportion of MP Navigator which came with my Canon scanner. I haven't had this happen with WE for a very long time. I'm using an Acer laptop with Windows 7 HP 64-bit, I.E. 11 and the SAPI synthesizer. The link from Royal Oak leads to weekly police reports in PDF format. Loss of speech happened when Adobe Reader DC tried to open the PDF. I didn't have any of these problems with WE 9.2. Re: Loss of speech
Well, I might give it another try. I'll also try using it with access32 to make sure it's not a WE 9.3 issue. -Original Message- From: Pamela Dominguez Sent: Saturday, December 19, 2015 3:28 PM To: Russ Kiehne ; Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Re: Loss of speech I am using it with a tripple talk mini USB. It works well, most of the time. Occasionally, it will shut up for about half a minute, then come back. When I first upgraded, it seemed slow, but whatever the problem was, it seems to have mostly fixed itself. I still wish I could use read-to-end when composing an email, though. That, of course, has nothing to do with the tripple talk. It used to be possible to do this in versions before seven, I think. Getting Eudora to Work properly in Windows 10
Hi, Folks. Has anyone been able to get Eudora to work properly in Windows 10, and if so, how? I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and left Eudora installed. Also, reinstalled the factory settings/Eudora set files, as the ones I had disappeared. Also maximized the child and parent windows (alt-hypen/x and alt-space/x) and still can't read the emails and navigate properly. Is there anything I need to do to get Eudora working again, or is this a lost cause? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: utube video
This is Probably the hard way to do this, but this is what I do. Now you all are wanting to know the address to the Converting Web site, so it is found below. http://2conv.com/ Dave -- Dave___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: Corel Word Perfect and WE
I attempted to use Word Perfect 13 with WE 8.4 back a few years ago. WE read very little in that edition of Word Perfect. As far as I know, there is no support in WE for any version of Word Perfect. Do not recall when WE stopped supporting Word Perfect, but it has probably been at least 10 years ago. There is always the small word processor named Jart. It is small and has much less in the way of Features. However, if all you really need is basic editing and Spell Checking, Jart works, and is what I now use, as I dislike MS Word 2010 and beyond. I used Word Perfect up until version 8, when I was forced by my job to switch over to MS Word. But, have missed Word Perfect. Which just proves I am an Old Dog that doesn't like New things, especially when the new things only add extra layers of complication. But then again, I suspect there are some even older Goats that still miss Word Star!
