Re: VLC media player

2016-01-05 Thread via Talk
I would find out which line that info is posted. Then I would create a
Set File to have a Short cut Key that reads just that line.

You could set up a Set File, and create a small Window that is read by
pressing a short cut key.

No, that's not what it was. Nothing happened when I pressed 'alt+Y', I

it was the windows u a c, waiting for your windows log on password. you get
this with all the programs you install or uninstall.
usually if you alt tab away and back again w e will get focus on it and you
can have speech for that log on edit box. then tab to the yes button. or press
alt y or is it control y to activate the yes button.

Hi All:

Well, uninstalling Webroot Secure Anywhere, easier said than done. When I went
to Programs and Features on the Windows 8.1 machine to uninstall, and answered
yes to uninstalling it, I got an edit box and Webroot was looking for me to
enter something. The screen is so inaccessible that I couldn't figure out what
it's looking for me to enter. I tried disabling all of the Webroot processes
and re-installing WE after using the WE Emergency Removal tool per Chris's
suggestion, and that still doesn't work.

I guess I'm going to have to have Geek Squad or someone else uninstall this
thing so I can get back to using the screen reader I most enjoy, Window-Eyes.

Hi Ray,

Unfortunately, the issues you are seeing are due to Webroot Secure anywhere.

You may need to run the emergency removal utility , close Webroot (stop its
protection) before installing Window-eyes and install Window-eyes again.
Webroot is blocking Window-eyes components from being installed properly.

As far as your wife's h for heading key not working or all other quick
navigation keys if there is a setting in Webroot that deals with keylogging,
turn it off.
It doesn't like the fact you are pressing an H and Window-eyes is doing
something with that H. It thinks Window-eyes is logging your keystrokes so it
doesn't let them through.

Webroot was supposed to have white listed Window-eyes. Apparently it didn't.

If you want something that works like webroot but is more accessible, check out
GData internet security. In GData you'll need to turn off its keylogging
function as well to get the quick navigation keys to work.

Hi All:

I'm glad to be back on the Talk list. Following is a copy of an email I sent
to WE Support documenting some major issues we're having with Window-Eyes 9.3.1
on both a Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 machine. Just sharing in case anyone else
is having any of these issues and may, along with the support team, have ideas
on how to resolve them. At this point in time, we don't consider Window-Eyes

everyone has that option.

Hi,
Currently in PDFs you need to go into table mode. Before using the insert arrow

Control-numpad plus goes into table mode.
Control-numpad-dash turns off table mode.

Hi Barbara,

Insert plus the arrow keys to navigate around the table.
Also, Control-Shift-H to rotate through options for the automatic speaking
of row and column headers.
You can go to the hot keys node in the Window-Eyes control panel, expand
this node, and arrow down to browse mode.
Then, press tab and you'll be in the list of browse mode hotkeys, and press
T repeatedly and you will find table-related keys.

Hi okay at one time I wanted Microsoft 2013 on my computer.
Well where I took it they tried opening outlook and it kept crashing.
But okay when I got my computer back it opened fine and now it is in
table view.
So how using window-eyes 9.0 and outlook 2013 do I make it so my folders
show and not this table view?
Or is it better to switch to office 2016 and outlook 2016?
And why would they had such a hard time installing office on my computer?
they said that office installed but outlook crashed when opened.
I took it to best buy at that time if that matters any.
they were the ones that tried putting office on my system.
So if I would like office and outlook how to I then get it up and
working with my current configuration?

If you are going to use Viper, make sure you have plenty of RAM as this
thing is a system hog. If you have less than 6 gb, I would not recommend
it. I tried it on a netbook running 2 or 4 gb of RAM and we got rid of it

Re: Itunes Enhance 1.0.1 update

2016-01-05 Thread Chris T via Talk

Thanks for this app. iTunes has really needed some improvement via apps.

I am wondering if it might be possible, to add the ability to switch between
grid and list views for all of the media types to your app? I have a small
number of improvements that wouldn't really do that much, but would
seriously improve accessibility of iTunes and this is at the top of the
list. A context menu item that would allow one to select a song, book, TV
episode or whatever to the list to be added or removed from the current
device at the next sync would also be great, but I don't think that could be
done with just an app. The more I have used the current iTunes, the more I
feel that it is an improvement over past versions. If Apple would just go a
bit further in a few areas, I think accessibility and functionality would
increase greatly. JMO.

Thanks again for the app.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know I just updated Itunes Enhance, so that,
when you press any of the hotkeys, the state of playback, or whether you're
rewinding or fast forwarding, is spoken.
I didn't think of doing this before, since Itunes is pretty silent, even
with the rbosity provided by the Itunes set file.
However, in light of the added functionality provided by my app, it seemed
important from an accessibility point of view to be informed on the state of
Itunes.

Enjoy,
