RE: WE 9.3 and Java
Hi Chris: Tried it with full install of both WindowEyes for Office and the WindowEyes demo just for fun. Both do the same thing. If I start the java control panel, it says, "Java Control Panel, Disabled" However, if I revert to WE 9.2, the control panel speaks fine. I even made sure the Java Access Bridge is installed. I uninstalled the Access Bridge and re-installed it. The Java control Panel spoke a few more things, but, I could still not tab around and get any decent feedback. It is reading the various tab names in the Java Control Panel, but, I still cannot tab around and change any settings, at least, I cannot tab around and know what I am doing. Re: SO FRUSTRATED ANYONE HELP WITH SCREEN READER PROBLEMS PLEASE
Hi Steve, Have you tried calling RNIB to see if one of their tech volunteers can help? They help get people get up and running with new tech and may also be able to help in situations like this. I'm afraid I haven't used them so I've no idea what the lead time is. Are you using Window-Eyes for Office or the full version? If the latter, then your Window-Eyes dealer may b able to help. Re: unwanted subscriptions: Re: test messsage to see if it makes it to the list
Hi. I think this actually has to do with being unsubscribed by the list servor, without asking. I've been unscribed three times in this manner. Each time I just had to hit "reply" and send the message and was re-subscribed. It's a flaw with the list serv. It's happened to several list members. Nothing to do, but reply to the message. WE and Windows 10 short comings
I don't know whether this is a WE issue or a Windows 10 issue but one issue I find difficult to work with is not being to read the screen with the mouse keys consistently. I am not talking about web pages but I guess what you would call Windows screens. A typical example is trying to read the screen when you do a manual check for windows updates. Sometimes you can read the page just fine with the mouse keys and the next time you only get that wonderful useless Windows ding. Sometimes changing the focus helps and other times it doesn't help at all. If this is a Window Eyes problem it needs to be addressed. If it is a Windows issue Ai Squared needs to do what ever it takes to address the issue. If there is a solution to this problem I would sure like to know what it is . I'm wondering how a person can be unsubscribed without their permission. I got a message that said I wanted to unsubscribe, but it said if I wanted to unsubscribe, I should reply to the message. RE: How to force WE to read text
Hi Dave, A hyperactive window could really help with this. If you look up these in the manual, their purpose is clear. So, you would set a hyperactive window to monitor the whole bible window, and trigger when there's any change in the window, and, when there is, you could set the reading of your user window seven as the action to perform. RE: OT blind finance list
Hi: I approved the membership but I don't know if there is any lag time between approval and when you start getting mail or are able to send mail. If you get a message from yahoo, the list, respond to it. If I don't see a message in a little while I will send a test message to the list to see if you get it. Then you can respond to the test message. Let me know if you don't hear anything today just in case.
