Re: I have had enough

2016-03-22 Thread crw9599 via Talk
Hello. I hope this can solve your problem. I think about a month ago
some one told me of a program call gwx control panel. What it does it
gets rid of the windows 10 updates and stuff plus the get windows 10 out
of the task bar. It is completely free and accessible. I have used it it
works great. It is one of those things where you set it up and you kind
of forget about it. Just do a Google search for the program. Once you
download it go in to the program and just hit enter. Once you are in
there, you want to tab around and look for prevent windows 10 updates
and upgrades . It says something like that, but just hit enter on that
hope everything can be fixed for you with that program. I even went in
to the update settings with in the program and the radio buttons are all
set up for you and checked so it only installs updates for windows 7. I
hope it is something you are looking for. Hope I could help out. Once
you are done with the program just close it. It is mainly a interface
where you use the tab key to cycle through the different settings.

I was able to independently use many of the controls when HP/Beats/IDT
updated their audio software. I just purchased HP's top-of-the-line,
consumer 17.3" laptop, which includes Realtek/Bang & Olufsen audio
hardware and software, but I am unable to use all of the features (such as
the graphic equalizer slider controls) without sighted assistance. People
with sight impairments should be able to independently experiment with
their computer's sound system at their own convenience.

RE: Adding Attachments to Emails when Using Becky!

2016-03-22 Thread Steve Jacobson via Talk
In case it has not been mentioned, Becky is not a free program. You can get
a 30-day trial, though, and it is only $40 or so. It is also still being
updated, but updates seem to be done carefully, which I like. Some of us
have had some problems with Becky and Window-Eyes 9.4.0.0, particularly with
read-to-end, but I have not found these difficulties to be a big problem.
Also, there are settings that need to be changed in Becky to get it to work
well with Window-Eyes. I think there is a knowledgeBase article on that.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

If you go into "Services", right click "Windows Update," and select
"Disable," it's the same as not allowing Windows 8.1 and earlier to automaticly
prompt, download, and install updates. Before I knew this, it was the reason I
almost gave up on Windows 10, but once I discovered this solution, I would
never go back to an earlier version of Windows because it has a start menu like
Windows 7 and optimizes solid state drives like Windows 8 and 8.1.

Hi,

I'm running Windows 10 on three computers in our home. I am not seeing
this constant update problem that others here are reporting. The last
windows update was over a week ago and did not cause any problems on any
of our computers. Don't live your life by fear! I look forward to the

A couple of weeks ago there was mention of a file in two formats to deal

I just meant to mention it and have someone on the list tell me if they too

That was then, since then this past weekend, it actually worked. So I don't

Well, it is definitely not my side as I have no control on downloads. Perhaps
you meant to send to wesupport? Or would you like everybody on the list to
attempt your download in which case you should send us the link you are having
troubles with.

My apologies in advance for not contributing any value to the conversation.

"JAWS" gives us a choice between installing a 32-bit or a 64-bit version of

Re: Auto-complete Option Available in Becky?

2016-03-22 Thread Martha Reaney via Talk
Hi.

I haven't used BECKY! for several weeks, so my memory may not be great.

As I recall, in the BECKY! address book, there is a "nickname" that can be
assigned for a contact. It is the nickname balue that is used by BECKY! to
auto-complete the addressee(s).

There may be other ways to do this, but, the nickname is the one that I am
aware of.

Auto-complete Option Available in Becky?

2016-03-22 Thread Matthew Chao via Talk
Hi, Folks. Thanks for all your help regarding my question about
attachments when using Becky. My next question: Is there an
auto-complete function where I can type in part of the email address,
and Becky does the rest? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao

I do this. Open Becky, go to the folder or file and hit the application key.
Arrow to "send to" and right arrow to Becky. Hit enter and a new email comes
up. Send.
