I wonder if using "outdated" software (such as Windows-7) contributes to the problem. That said, while I took advantage of the Jaws offer, I have yet to migrate to Jaws and have yet to download Windows-10. Things are running smoothly and I hate to rock the boat. The other issue which makes me hesitate is Jaws' reliance on the insert key. I use a left-handed keyboard with the microsoft feature Sticky Keys and have never really understood how to incorporate the insert feature with the caps lock key, but I digress. RE: Introducing Virtual View 5.0
How do we get this? -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+dennisl1982=gmail@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Aaron Smith via Talk Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 2015 3:34 PM To: t...@window-eyes.com Subject: Introducing Virtual View 5.0 Virtual View 5.0 now supports exciting new features such as the ability to OCR images from files or the screen, plus virtualizing various document formats, including PDF files. Here are some other features: * You can open an image in any format (jpg, bmp, png, tiff, etc.). * If you press Alt-Print Screen to capture the active window, Virtual View will automatically OCR it for you. * The Virtual View options dialog lets you control image manipulation to increase OCR success. * Supports UAC, allowing you to get contents (specifically UIA) from windows that are elevated. * Images inside PDF files are prepended with [BEGIN IMAGE] and appended with [END IMAGE]. * You can choose several different kinds of file formats to virtualize, including: * Txt * Html * Xml * Zip * And if you have Office installed: ? Docx ? Xlsx ? Pptx Imagine a Word document filled with text boxes and word art. That information will show up as plain text when passed through Virtual View. Spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations are the same way. If you want to quickly skim a PowerPoint presentation without opening PowerPoint, use Virtual View. With zip files, Virtual View can open the zip file and get the text of all text files. At the very least, you can get a list of the files in the archive. -- Aaron Smith Web Development * App Development * Product Support Specialist Ai Squared * 725 Airport North Office Park, Fort Wayne, IN 46825 260-489-3671 * www.aisquared.com To insure that you receive proper support, please include all past correspondence (where applicable), and any relevant information pertinent to your situation when submitting a problem report to the Ai Squared Technical Support Team. ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. I imagine anything written in MS Office, whether it be a Spread Sheet, or a Document, is probably available to those who wish to view the contents of these files. If you own a Small business, you might wish to keep some things of your business privet. do you really want a flood of Bankruptcy lawyers sending you their Electronic Business Cards, letting you know, their Services are available? All because someone was able to peek at your Quick Book files? or maybe you were stupid enough to buy some Sex Toy On Line, and now an ad pops up when your best friend, who is a bad Gossiper, is borrowing your lap top to do some work of his own. Or maybe your friend writes a fiery letter off to a Politician, but because it was written on your machine, those watchers think you are the one who wrote the nasty letter, and not your friend. We are edging more and more into a culture where everyone has to be careful about what they say, and to who you say it. Even though some much is said about being Tolerant, I find today there is less and less tolerance. when using your computer, always, and I do mean, always have the understanding, that nothing on it, and anything you do on it, could be seen by someone else. big Brother is watching, and has been watching, and probably lots of Little Brothers too. If you want real privacy, but still want to use the computer, guess you will need to have two systems. One that is hooked up to the internet, and another that is not, and never will be. ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. I am doing this all by dictation. When I am done dictating I would tell Dragon to press the F7 key. To see if there were any spelling mistakes! Window eyes at this moment is not reading back to me what I am dictating! It is spelling everything back to me! If somebody knows how to correct this, by making window eyes read back in words I would appreciate that! Well I guess that's it for now! I will run spell-check next. The spell check found three misspelled words! And there was a few mistakes because of the way I said things. Talk to you all later! -- Have a nice day from, K4NKZ Jim ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: how do I get Window-Eyes to start on desktop when computer starts up
I think it should be desk top focus as well or at least a user option to what has focus when wineyes starts up.
