RD -Original Message- From: David via Talk Sent: Saturday, September 28, 2019 9:29 AM To: WE English Mailinglist Cc: David Subject: Help needed: Deleting multiple files Running Win7. Listers, I have tried figuring this out, but seem to be blank-minded today. Anyone has some experience, please let me know. I have a folder, holding numerous files. I open it in Windows Explorer, and arrow my way down through the list of files. It occurs, that I need to delete several of the files. Fine, if they had been right next to each other, I would have used the Shift-Arrow combinations - selecting the files to be deleted, and then press Del-key. Thing is, the files are spread out all over the list. I need to delete say file number 1, 4 and 6. So exactly how do I go about that one. I searched the net, and it said to use the CTRL-key, along with the mouse. If I hold the CTRL along with the Slash or Star on the numeric keypad, simulating the Left or Right clicks on the mouse, I only hear "Slash" and "Star" spoken, and nothing else happens. It further claimed you alternatively should use CTRL-Space, and it would select the file currently focused. Thing is, I tried that one too, and it still does not work. So what is the clue? How does one select multiple files, in Windows Explorer, with the use of WinEyes. To make it more complicated for you, I did try yet another approach. I used the Insert-Del combination on the numeric keypad. It gave me the chance to MARK but when I did choose to let it do so, on each of the files in question, and then pressed Del to delete - Only the currently focused file will be deleted. In other words, none of the other files I thought I had marked, did actually receive any marking. Hope all of this makes any sense. By The Way, is this kind of operation more accessible in either of the other Screen Readers, NVDA or Jaws. If so, what's the procedure, please? Re: App updates
I for one would very much like to see a means for updating and acquiring new apps. RD -Original Message- From: Rod Hutton via Talk Sent: Tuesday, September 05, 2017 5:52 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List Cc: Rod Hutton Subject: App updates Hi everyone, I have updates for a couple of my apps, and even a new app or two, but VFO is no longer accepting app submissions. Is anyone still interested enough in Window-Eyes to wish for someone to set up an independent website for the purpose of app updates? I am trying to get a handle on who is still interested in receiving support for Window-Eyes, and so please circulate this question to any Window-Eyes users you know. Re: not getting at my home e-mail
I seem to be reading a continuing low level flow of W E people helping one another. I can't see where less bolume is a bad thing. I hope the list continues, will understand if it does not. profiles
If one has two or more profiles in windows, can one run Jaws in one profile and Window-eyes in another? Since Window-Eyes is now gone, I feel that I no longer need to be on the list, but I have had a good level of support from everyone on the list for several years. I wish everyone the best. -- Regards, Samuel Wilkins ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. Re: Introducing Window-eyes 9.3
Would it be better to install 9.3 before or after installing windows 10? In going from windows 7 to windows 10, does one still need to reinstall window eyes after installing windows 10? Re: WLM problem
since upgrading to SE 9.2 I have encountered a strange problem in WLM. Using a toshiba running windows 7 home premium with 6GB ram, when I open a message in WLM, the first line is read then repeated. On long lines, paragraphs in most places, the whole thingis repeated beforemovingon to the rest of the message. I have raised the cursor time significantly with no effect. Suggesgtions? I should re-iterate thisonly startedafter WE 9.2 was installed.
