2015-09-10 Thread Tom Kingston via Talk

Hi Nancy,

Instead of trying to read from the top down use the mouse route to focus
key, Numpad-Insert-Plus. Then move from there. Sometimes moving by clip
works better than by line. But moving by word and character usually work
fine.

Robin,
My first recommendation would be to try different Window-Eyes mouse
boundaries to see if that helps. Maybe you accidentally changed the
Window-Eyes mouse boundary to a setting that you normally don't use. The
hotkey to cycle among the options is Control-Shift-B.
Kind Regards,

Hi - My mouse keys aren't working as they used to and I'm not sure what I
may have done or what changed. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit and WE 9.1. I think

this started a couple days ago, but I can't be sure. Here are some
examples.

1. If I'm in a Windows Explorer view, hitting numpad 7 used to take me
to the very top of the window on the title bar. Now hitting numpad 7 says
top left, but it takes me to the beginning of the first file or folder name
in the view. Numpad 1 takes me to the last folder or file.

2. In my Outlook 2010 inbox, I'm taken to the top of my inbox with the
point sitting on one of the icons just left of "From" on the column headers.

Numpad 1 takes me to the last message in my inbox.

3. I use Cisco Jabber for instant messaging and have to use mouse
pointer to read much of it. Numpad 7 used to take me to the top of the
window where I could use numpad 2 to go down the window and see who was
messaging me and the status. I can't get this to work at all. I cannot
figure out where the pointer goes when I hit numpad 7 and it just dings if I

try to use mouse navigation afterward. This is the most problematic impact
right now.

4. On the Desktop, numpad 7 does take me to the top left corner. From
here, I get dings unless I have it set to line and then numpad 2 will read
each line of icons. I don't normally use mouse keys on the desktop screen,
so maybe this is normal function.

5. In Word 2010, numpad 7 takes me to an area off the document, at the
far left just below all the tool bars.

Any idea how to troubleshoot this? It's impacting my ability here at work.
I already tried restarting WE to see if it was a fluke.

I'm not an expert on mouse keys, but I find that they don't do what I want
unless they are set to read lines. Scroll through the settings with alt and
numpad 5 and stop when it gets to line to see if that helps.

Re: Mouse keys are not working as they used to and control shift b many times does not help

2015-09-06 Thread manny via Talk

Hi to all,
In many programs WE9.2 will not read the screen with the numpad, and in
many cases the only fix is to revert to a previous version.
For example, I am using firefox version 30.0 and the numpad reads the
screen, but any version higher and you get a bing sound when reading the
screen with the numpad. The same holds true for Thunderbird.
I am using the current version of Thunderbird and WE9.2 gives me a bing
when trying to read the screen with the numpad.
Someone had asked what version of thunderbird does WE9.2 read the screen
with the numpad, but I have not come across the answer to that question.

If anyone knows, please post the answer.

top left, but it takes me to the beginning of the first file or folder name
in the view.

RE: Mouse keys are not working as they used to

2015-08-13 Thread Marc Solomon via Talk
Robin,
My first recommendation would be to try different Window-Eyes mouse boundaries
to see if that helps. Maybe you accidentally changed the Window-Eyes mouse
boundary to a setting that you normally don't use. The hotkey to cycle among
the options is Control-Shift-B.
Kind Regards,
Marc

Subject: Mouse keys are not working as they used to

Hi - My mouse keys aren't working as they used to and I'm not sure what I may
have done or what changed. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit and WE 9.1. I think this
started a couple days ago, but I can't be sure. Here are some examples.

1. If I'm in a Windows Explorer view, hitting numpad 7 used to take me to
the very top of the window on the title bar. Now hitting numpad 7 says top
left, but it takes me to the beginning of the first file or folder name in the
view. Numpad 1 takes me to the last folder or file.
