Outlook 2007 read/unread tags was RE: Outlook Question

2017-08-13 Thread Rod Hutton via Talk
Hi Pastor,

It is fairly well known to list members that Outlook 2007 does not provide the
read/unread tag on emails.
If I may suggest, and if you can afford $6.99 per month for a single-PC
licence, Office 365 contains the most up-to-date version of Outlook, on an
ongoing basis, as well as all the other Office apps, plus 1 terabyte of online
storage.
For $9.99 per month, you can get the same features, for five PCs or Macs.
This is my current subscription level.
You can save a bit of money if you subscribe to this package as an annual
subscription.

Take care,

Rod

Hi Ted,

Here are steps which must be done for Outlook to behave properly:

First, you would install the Office 2016 set files from Factory Settings.
Second, install the Office Enhanced app, even if previously installed, and you
can just install right over the existing installation.
Third, as with the Office Enhanced app, right over top, install the Outlook
Enhanced app.
Fourth, reboot, since this is a must.
After the the reboot, go to your inbox using Control-Shift-I to properly focus
it, just in case you get stuck in a web view.
Note also that, with new versions of Outlook, you must use F6 and Shift-F6 or
Control-Tab and Control-Shift-Tab to navigate between the folder tree and the
message list, not Tab and Shift-Tab.

an Outlook question

2015-05-12 Thread David Loux via Talk
Hi List,

I'm currently running Win 7 on a new Dell Inspiron with WE 9.1 and a fresh
and default install of Outlook 2007.

When I forward an HTML email to my wife, (who is sighted), much of the
content, including hyperlinks and most graphics are stripped out of the
message.

Sometimes she may receive the same message, and the differences are
significant. What settings might I adjust to keep this from happening? Is
there a reason why I might not want to do this?

Thanks in advance for any helpful ideas.

Dave L.

RE: an Outlook question

2015-05-12 Thread Van Lant, Robin via Talk
I think it's meant to prevent viruses and such from being forwarded. My
husband says the same thing to me. I sometimes, especially at work, will get
prompted as to whether I want to include images or something like that when I
forward, which I do for him to see it the same way. I was just in File /
Options / Trust center. I wonder if the settings are in there to adjust this.
I definitely saw some settings to always download objects you receive when
getting an HTML message. Maybe that's it. If the images are displayed when you
go to forward, maybe that's when you get the prompt about whether you also want
to forward those images.

Subject: an Outlook question

Hi List,

I'm currently running Win 7 on a new Dell Inspiron with WE 9.1 and a fresh and
default install of Outlook 2007.

When I forward an HTML email to my wife, (who is sighted), much of the content,
including hyperlinks and most graphics are stripped out of the message.

Sometimes she may receive the same message, and the differences are
significant. What settings might I adjust to keep this from happening? Is
there a reason why I might not want to do this?

Thanks in advance for any helpful ideas.

Dave L.
