Hi Shannon,

In the WE control panel, on the File menu, there is an option named Explore
profile folder.
This is where set files are stored for the default Window-Eyes profile, and
additional profiles would be stored in subfolders within this folder.
At any rate, once you open the folder, you could access the full path name
of the current folder by pressing Alt-D, which places you in the Address
bar, an edit box containing the full path name of the current folder.
Then, it is simply a matter of copying that full path name to the clipboard,
returning to the File open dialog box, navigating to the Address bar in that
dialog box, pasting the contents of the clipboard, and pressing Enter.
Pressing Enter places you in the folder you wish.
Finally, you would have to press tab twice to return to the list of files in
order to browse that list and find the set file you need.

Good luck,

Rod

Good morning I need to associate a set file to a window I am currently
using.
It is just like others but is not associating with the working set file.
I used the file open settings but it is not defaulting to the set file
folder.
How can I find it.
Windows 8.4 windows 8.1
Thanks
Shannon

RE: What is the directory for the set files

2015-02-19 Thread Mike Pietruk via Talk
Rod

Let me pose a follow-up question to that of Shannon as I am trying to do
something similar to what Shannon is needing to do.
I have a WE8.4 set up that I would like to place on a laptop.
My ideal we8.4 configuration is that of which I have on an old xp
desktop which, thanks to grandfathering, has all of its contents in the
c:\wineyes directory which, of course, iis no longer the standard.
My questions are 2:
(1) what files do I need to copy over to this win7 laptop and where do
they go so that I can replicate my preferred 8.4 configuration?

(2) Which set files contain the default settings with the global
settings?

Thanks!

and that is why I succeed.
