Re: We certificates

2017-11-18 Thread Bernie Perella via Talk
Hi Kevin,  thanks for your note.  It has been two years since I began
using We for office and I just couldn't remember whether or not one
needed an authorizaation file.  So, your answer is helpful.  I
originally asked the question because I have been having lots of
problems with my system and I am trying to determine whether WE is due
whole or in part to those problems.  I seem to be having an issue where
we just stops talking and then the computer reboots.  I have begunf to
think that some piece of hardware on my system might be intermittantly
causing some of the problems I am having.B

Re: We certificates

2017-11-16 Thread Loy Green via Talk
Reading your messages about certificates and authorizations, I am confused
about which version of Window Eyes you are talking about. Sometimes it seems
you are talking about the paid version and sometimes you are talking about the
WE for Office. I don't know much about the WE for Office version.
But for the Paid version there is no limit on the number of installations. And
it is not clear what the certificate problem you mention is. I do know that
around the first of 2017 there was a problem with certificates with AISquared
products and there was an update to fix this problem in January. Could it be
you are trying to install a version that had this certificate problem? Here is
link that discusses this problem.
https://www.aisquared.com/certificatefix/
VFO no longer supports WE Paid version but they should give you a link to
download full copy of your paid version of WE and then you can install without
the problems.

  Hi Larry:

I would just go ahead and reinstall WeForOffice.
In the long run, you save time because you will not have to try
something, have it not work and then try again.

You may have to redownload it from the website. I did that not too
long ago, because I wanted to make sure that the website still exists
and that I have a copy of the istallation file in case the website is
taken down by the folks at VFO.

2017-11-14 Thread Larry Higgins via Talk

Kevin,

Now that this issue has come up, I have a question I hope you have some
insight into.

For some reason, each time I make a major update to Windows 10, WE goes
into demo mode,  making it necessary to go to license management and
renew online. When I try doing it offline, it gives me an invalid
warning. When I do it offline, it tells me that I have a dwindling
number of renewal options, and now it appears that I have run out. So,
do you know how to deal with what appears to be the inevitable situation
where I am actually out of validations?

Who knows, maybe then it will be necessary to either uninstall, and then
reinstall another copy of WE for Office.

Any ideas?

2017-11-14 Thread Kevin Huber via Talk
Hi Bernie:

OK. I will make another attempt at answering your question as I was
not quite awake the first time.
If you have a valid license for Microsoft Office version 10 or higher, you can
run Window-eyes for Office and it will work perfectly. If it does not
find a valid license, it will run in Demo mode.

You can find all the information on www.windoweyesforoffice.com.

Not sure what authorizations you are talking about, if it is for voices you
purchased for the paid version of WE 9.54, you need to request a download link
from AISquared that would include any paid versions of voices you purchased.
They were still giving these links a while back, but don't know how long they

RE: We certificates

2017-11-07 Thread Olusegun -- Victory Associates LTD, Inc. via Talk
Bernie, did you try running these certificates as administrator? I've had
occasions when certain apps won't install unless Irun them as administrator
during the installation process. I'm thinking, hopefully not so naively,
that the same case scenario could hold true for what you are experiencing.

Sincerely,
Olusegun

Re: We certificates

2017-11-07 Thread Tom Kingston via Talk
I would first open the context menu on the file and make sure it's not
blocked under the general tab. You can unblock them.
If they're not blocked I would try opening the context menu again and
use the Run as administrator option.

Tom

HI, I have a couple of authorization files that I had gotten from Gw

will run and they give the error that they are blocked by an

the new certificate?  thanks.  B
