Thunderbird issues addendum
In my prior message on this subject, I neglected to mention that at least on this Windows 10 system, the F5 and F8 keys used to mark the beginning and ending points for copying text no longer work in Thunderbird. Re: more thunderbird issues
You are welcome to write me off list. Sometimes when I log on to Thunderbird, it says something like, inbox 2 of 2 tab selected instead of inbox 1 of 2 tab selected. This doesn't happen too often, but when it does, it takes me a while to actually get into my inbox. What is happening, and why? Thunderbird issues
I am running the latest version of Thunderbird which I believe is 45 on an HP desktop which I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and use Window-Eyes 9.4 for the screen reader. I find this combination to be extremely unstable resulting in frequent loss of speech and requiring Window-Eyes to be reloaded with alt control W, and usually requiring a reload of Thunderbird as well. I am writing to inquire as to whether other list members are experiencing similar problems with Thunderbird. I should also mention that I experienced these issues but to a much lesser extent using earlier versions of Thunderbird and of Window-eyes. It will then go through some options to mark the message or to close it and ultimately will read the to, from, and subject fields. If possible, how do I fix this? Re: thunderbird issues
No, I don't know what your situation is Juno my isp somehow came up with I had to change my password, or maybe it was Thunderbird, anyway, the same thing happened to me last week, so I had to back up everything good thing I do have the import export tools add on installed so I backed up all of the messages that were in my in box, and had to uninstall it, then reinstall it, had to set up everything all over again seems like things are working here fine now. I did read up on some stuff of Thunderbird, you want to back up your profile regularly, and keep the inbox folder, the junk folder, and the trash folder all empty, and also do a disk defrag. Now that I do back up my stuff I put all of the messages I want to read in the archives folder and back that up at least once a week. Also another great tool is moz backup. Maybe do a Google search on Thunderbird keeping it in good shape plus look for those tools, hope that stuff will help you out.
