RE: Window-Eyes 9.2 still crashing With Windows Explorer
Thanks to Chris at WinEyes my WE 9.2 and IE11 no longer crash while using the browser. Same thing for problems with Firefox. Chris had me: 1. remove outdated apps such as one forcibly closing WE and a Homer (or something like this) which that app closing WE required. 2. Updating all set files via the WE control panelGreat advice! ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. RE: Window-Eyes 9.2 still crashing With Windows Explorer
Hi, Edge is not accessible. You can either use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome to get an accessible web browser on Windows 10. I just tried directory Opus and unless I'm missing a configuration setting, nothing reads. Menus or the file lists. I do know Xplorer2 works quite well with Window-eyes under Windows 7/8/10. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+cgrabowski=aisquared@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of manny via Talk Sent: Saturday, August 1, 2015 7:28 PM To: Mike Wilkens mwilk...@sbcglobal.net; Window-Eyes Discussion List talk@lists.window-eyes.com Subject: Re: Window-Eyes 9.2 still crashing With Windows Explorer Hi to all, I have a dual boot between a new install of windows 10 and and a relatively new windows 7, and in both machine explorer and WE9.2 stop functioning very frequently. Hi Lynn, I thought I had send those instructions to the list, but I can't find a copy, so here they are: * Open a Windows explorer window. * tab to the organize button. * press spacebar, which should bring up a context menu. * arrow down to the layout submenu and open it up with the right arrow. * arrow down until you find the preview pane and make sure it is not checked; if it is checked, press enter on it to remove the checkmark; otherwise press escape. The frustrating part is it seems to happen for no rhyme or reason. I can't find a pattern for it so I can reliably tell people when the problem happens. It seems very random, which makes the problem that much harder to fix. If I do find a pattern for when it happens i'll gladly post a more definiative bug report with examples of when it happens, etc. On 7/28/2015 11:53 PM, Lynn White via Talk wrote: I have actually had two crashes in the last two days whenever windows explorer freezes and have had to reboot. RE: Window-Eyes 9.2 still crashing With Windows Explorer
Chip, where do I find where to disable preview mode? Like several others I find my crashes have no pattern to be specific about anything. It seems to do it the worst with IE , but it can also do it right in the middle of reading an email. I'll keep watching the list and also will post anything I discover about it all.
