Why not? There are legal brothels in Nevada...

ok, i get this - it's aiming to be a set of tools/a framework that can
then be used to provide new and interesting (height/elevation-related)
output from osm data, rather than any output itself, yes?

sounds interesting - i've been thinking about using the srtm data, and
elevation data from gps tracks myself a fair bit. i'm sure there are
lots of novel applications that haven't been explored

i think 'Elevation profile along a way' is already being worked on, by
some guy who signed up to google soc?

i'm not sure where the voting comes in though, that looks a lot like a
new tag?

Some suggestions for you:
- make sure you include the email CC of the talk mailing list in your
responses. That way you may get answers from more than one person.

- Check to see whether any of the existing online map tools will produce
an image suitable for your needs, e.g.
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Export
http://tah.openstreetmap.org/MapOf/
http://openstreetmap.gryph.de/bigmap.cgi

- Rendering the data yourself requires more setup. If you want to
proceed with this then look at:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Rendering
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Deploying_your_own_Slippy_Map

Elvin,

looks interesting, will have to give it a go.

I noticed its licensed under a CC licence. Is the source available
too?

'fraid not, but I welcome ideas and constructive criticism and users'
comments have shaped mom's development.

I don't really understand what you're proposing to be honest...

Is this something you want to add to the main database, or some

Do these clubs: men, cigars, cognac and whisk(e)y
really want to give up their discretion ?
Aren't they meant to be stealth ?, accessible on membership blindfolded only ?

amenity=club
accessibility=membership, blindfolded

I've been in one of those - "social club" or "gentleman's club" would be more
appropiate terms. Also known over here as casinos (with no gambling tables).

The other kind of "club" you'll find in spain is (legally) a hotel or hostel,
in the side of a road, with a big, pink neon sign reading "CLUB". And a lot of
too-easy-to-pick-up girls inside. I wonder if this is the kind of club you're
talking about.

Anyone up for proposing amenity=brothel?

Re: [OSM-talk] latest release of mom

2008-08-15 Thread Gert Gremmen
If I am right , elvin, you are the programmer

of MOM.

May I suggest some small details help us manage the right versions:

Include version name in download filename (mumapi125.jad) (mumbt125.jad)

Update the version number in the software itself ? 125 still says
1.02(4).

Try to get a signable version (see wiki page) to prevent al these
pop-ups on Nokia and others.

Your collegue of Whereami (Adam Boardman) provides signable

and unsigned versions. The signed version may be signed on a website

https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do !

for free. You will need your IMEI number.

Looking at the html code, all you need to do is visit this page:

Or just submit the form empty with an "@" in the email field,
the js
