yes, correct. Thanks for the clarifications.

The correct links are:
English: http://www.weeklyosm.eu/archives/6864
Spanish: http://www.weeklyosm.eu/es/archives/6864

I apologize for the misunderstanding and hope you enjoy the news.

So I checked what I have set up in Pushbullet and it's
http://www.weeklyosm.eu/feed. Maybe this is a result of their server
configuration or geographical location.

It simply depends on your browser settings. I see a German text
explaining that the Weekly is only available in English and Spanish and
as the German version is not available, the Weekly itself is displayed
in Wordpress-Default: English.

What seems to have happened is that the text of the HTML link in the
announce email was changed from Spanish to English, but the destination
of the link itself was not.

The English version is available, but after clicking on the "Spanish"
link you appear to need to reselect your desired language (by clicking
on a flag) in the blog itself to switch. Once you've done that,
clicking on a "non-language specific link" shouldn't change the language.

[OSM-talk] weeklyOSM 290

2016-02-11 Thread Jinal Foflia
The weekly round-up of OSM news, issue # 290, is now available online in
English, giving as always a summary of all things happening in the
openstreetmap world:
Among others:

   - In the city of Chefchaouen (the chief town of the province of the same
name) in Morocco, a collaboration between young enthusiasts resulted in
   something remarkable...
   - The website of OpenStreetMap Mali has gone live recently. ...
   - See which roads are exciting or boring in Martin Raifer published
   tortuOSMity ...
   - OpenMeatMap? The idea was born by the journalist Miguel Graziano and
realized by mapache look in for more information on it...
   - Do you know the CERN app? It is absolutely useless for “common man” (
   Joe Public
    / John
    Q.
    Public
   ), but excellent for
staff and visitors at CERN. ...

Coinmap was announced a long time ago on the forum: [1]

A search on Google for "Coinmap OSM" returns as first entry:

"
coinmap

https://coinmap.org/

By subscribing, you agree with the terms of Mailchimp Privacy Policy.

"

so the copyright might be hidden somewhere in the html of the page.

And isn't this the project that caused a lot of problems because the users
started adding all kind of services/shops/companies without a physical
presence to the OSM data ? [2]

In this case, an example tile URL is:
https://cartodb-basemaps-b.global.ssl.fastly.net/light_all/9/277/174.png

So these are using CartoDB basemaps. I think CartoDB does use OSM data
for basemaps, but it's definitely an older set of data.
