[talk-au] "Hidden" National Park boundary

2019-04-21 Thread nwastra
Hi Graeme
the boundary of Burleigh Head National Park was last updated using CAPAD 2016
http://www.environment.gov.au/land/nrs/science/capad/2016
 (CAPAD 2018 should
be out soon)
and the later 2018 download of Protected areas of Queensland
http://qldspatial.information.qld.gov.au/catalogue/custom/detail.page?fid={07E360E3-A191-4C24-9671-1471362F0B1B}

 has the same boundary

The latest Protected areas of Queensland dated 14 Mar 2019 is now available and
boundary is unchanged in that dataset too.

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Australian_data_catalogue

Burleigh Head National Park boundary
https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/104759342#map=16/-28.0950/153.4516

I wouldn’t adjust the gazetted boundaries to other things like the shoreline,
beaches, rivers, roads, treelines, etc as the next person who updates the
gazetted boundaries with later released data with need to unglue all those
joins to other data before replacing the geometry.

I suggest using JOSM when editing boundary relations.

[talk-au] "Hidden" National Park boundary

2019-04-21 Thread Graeme Fitzpatrick
Could you please have a look at
https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/-28.09588/153.45869

You can see that the boundary of Burleigh Head National Park is shown as
being out in the water of Tallebudgera Creek, which may actually be the
correct boundary?, but doesn't make a lot of sense?

I was wondering about adjusting it to follow the shoreline, but when I go
into edit (iD) I can't "find" the actual Boundary on the map - it just
doesn't appear to be there?

Is it hidden in some way, or am I just not clicking on the right pixel?!

Incidentally, over the last few days, I've added detail along the riverbank
to show the beaches & rock walls, but they're also not showing? Hidden
"under" the National Park / Nature Reserve perhaps?

Thanks

A very interesting challenge that many mappers would not think of.
I don't have a suggestion on how to solve it, but please consider adding
it in

Ahoj,

jo, prefixy životního cyklu používám i u budov a jiných *právě zaniklých*
objektů. Většinou tam i po té zbourané budově zůstanou patrné základy.
Odstraňuji geometrii až když na tom místě vznikne něco jiného (jiná budova,
silnice, atp.) a zbytky původní stavby již nejsou v terénu nalezitelné (OTG
rule everywhere).

[OSM-talk] We're erasing our history in wiki

2019-04-21 Thread Ilya Zverev

Hi,

In my research of API 0.6 (which turned ten years old yesterday) I've
stumbled on this page:

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/API_v0.6/Crowd_sourced_Testing

It was deleted 7 years ago. And this is a disaster. The page was an
important milestone in our history: authors, dates, items on it could
bring some more information on how our current API was rolled out.
Nothing is left.

Please, could we have a deletion policy in our wiki that clearly states
"No obsolete pages here", forbidding deletion of anything except spam or
otherwise harmful pages? Deleting our history is plain vandalism, no
better than physically destroying pieces of human history displayed in
museums.

It's not like we're pressed for disk space there.

Thank internet gods for the Internet Archive,
Ilya

[Talk-us] Footway tagging

2019-04-21 Thread Michael Sidoric via Talk-us

Another consideration is accessibility.
Not taking sides but besides aesthetics and nomenclature seems there needs to
be some way for routing and tags to reflect whether a route is ‘safe’ or
accessible.

I map for several blind friends and many paths have unexpected (and dangerous)
overhead hazards that a cane cannot detect.

Thoughts?

Ahoj,

Prefix demolished, určitě - třeba vůči ortofotům to poskytuje info "budova

[OSM-talk] Hikar (OSM AR for walkers) - now fixed and available again

2019-04-21 Thread Nick Whitelegg
Hello everyone,

Apologies for the non-availability of my OSM augmented reality app Hikar
(announced on March 29th) from Google Play over the weekend. Unfortunately
I left some test code in the last release which prevented GPS locations
being processed.

As I was on holiday with no access to a development machine I figured it
was best to temporarily unpublish it.

It's now fixed and published again and you should be getting an update soon
if you haven't already. The corrected version is 0.2.3, the broken version
is 0.2.2.

Apologies once again for the downtime.

http://daveh.dev.openstreetmap.org/garmin/Lambertus/2019-04-19/kml/kml.html

FAQ

Why did you do this?

I wrote scripts to joined them myself to lessen the impact
of doing a large join on Lambertus's server. I've also
cut them in large longitude swaths that should fit conveniently
on removable media.

http://daveh.dev.openstreetmap.org/garmin/Lambertus/2019-04-19

Can or should I seed the torrents?

Yes!! If you use the .torrent files, please seed. That web
server is in the UK, and it helps to have some peers on this
side of the Atlantic.

Why is my map missing small rectangular areas?

There have been some missing tiles from Lambertus's map (the
red rectangles), I don't see any at the moment, so you may
want to update if you had issues with the last set.

Why can I not copy the large files to my new SD card?

If you buy a new card (especially SDHC), some are FAT16 from
the factory. I had to reformat it to let me create a >2GB
file.

Does your map cover Mexico/Canada?

Yes!! I have, for the purposes of this map, annexed Ontario
in to the USA. Some areas of North America that are close
to the US also just happen to get pulled in to these maps.
This might not happen forever, and if you would like your
non-US area to get included, let me know.

[talk-cz] Jak tagovat vinotéku a vinárnu?

2019-04-21 Thread Petr Vozdecký

Ahoj,

jak tagovat vinotéku a vinárnu?

pod pojmem vinotéka se totiž v ČR vyskytují

1) čisté prodejny shop=wine
(https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Cs:Tag:shop%3Dwine) (ovšem takřka vždy
s možností degustace, tedy nějaký miniaturní prostor pro stání u stolku či
sezení)

2) podniky určené současně pro prodej i posezení shop=beverages
(https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Cs:Tag:shop%3Dbeverages) + amenity=pub

shop=alcohol(https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Cs:Tag:shop%3Dalcohol) (pro
drink=*(https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Cs:Key:drink) (konkrétní
podávané či prodávané nápoje např: drink:wine=* "yes" bez bližšího určení,
"served" pro podávaný nápoj, "retail" pro prodávaný, ovšem myšleno spíše pro
další prodej, "draught" nápoj je čepovaný, "bottled" nápoj je v lahvích)

Konkrétně řeším situaci, kdy dva různí mapeři zmapovali jednu vinotéku
dvakrát:
http://vinarstvibukovsky.cz/vinoteka/

1. varianta(https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3792480544) s amenity=bar (by
honny)

2. varianta(https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2816695812) s shop=alcohol
(by Francois555)

Osobně se přikláním k tagování:

shop=alcohol

Díky za názory či podnětné reakce, ať tu dvakrát zmapovanou vinárnu můžu

[talk-cz] místo odložení psa

2019-04-21 Thread Michal Fabík

Ahoj,

mě to zaujalo.)

Hola Santiago,

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/ES:Espa%C3%B1a/Contribuidores#Ajuntament_de_Val.C3.A8ncia

Probaré a llamar
respuesta.

Os mantendré informados. Muchas gracias.

Buena suerte, ojalá respondan positivamente.

The possibility of increasing/decreasing the priority of certain search
results based on templates is being discussed at the moment as part of

[Talk-cat] SOTMCAT 19 a Vilanova i la Geltrú

2019-04-21 Thread yo paseopor
Bon dia gent!

Salut i mapes
