Hi all I have a lot of data that I now want to upload onto OSM. The data includes Roads, streets, rivers, parks. All data is in shp format. Any suggestions Andre ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
[OSM-talk] Map Update
Hi All First, seasonal greetings! I have a few questions: 1) I have uploaded roads data using JOSM. This now is appearing as normal lines and not as per the classified roads. I like Mekaartor also, and can want to upload the rest of the roads. Am I using the correct process, because some roads are new and some is a change of the existing roads. "I download the respective area, add my data and delete on my pc what seems to be incorrect, then upload again." 2) I also would like to add more parameters for the roads, like average travel speed, speed limit, etc. could it be done? The reason why I want to add this is to be used in our routing component, eventually to determine also average travel time. Re: [OSM-talk] osm2go as yet another desktop tool?
Hi List I have a basic question: I have new data for some towns and also some national roads. I now need to update the respective areas. This would mean I need to delete the current roads and load the new data. By using Merkaartor I could download the respective town data, but how do I download a larger area for the national road. Secondly, what is the best or correct process for updating (deletion existing and adding new) road data for an area. [OSM-talk] OSM routing
I want to know if it is possible to have a web based routing solution on OSM data. If so I would appreciate more info on how. Regards Andre ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
[OSM-talk] Update OSM with complete road data
Hi List I have for the past year collected almost all the roads data (national and residential) for Namibia. This data was in shp format. I then used osm2shp to convert this to OSM format. But this file now is 240MB (Zipped 34MB). Due to bandwidth constrain there is no way I could upload the OSM file (240MB). Is there a way or someone that could help to load the file if I sent the zipped file? It will mean that most of the roads that is currently in OSM for Namibia could be deleted and replaced with this new data set. The data is very complete and accurate. Re: [OSM-talk] OSM from shape files
Nope. Just to covert my data to OSM format. I then want to load my data into JOSM and update the relevant map sections. Then use JOSM to update OSM server. What do you mean by "want to load that into OSM". Do you want to upload your data to the OSM server?
