Google have some guys called the Data Liberation Front. They ask you to use a Google service called Google Moderator, with your Google Account, to vote on how to improve Google products. That's exactly what we're doing. (With Google. Did I make that clear?) Online petitions are asking for change from without. This is asking for change from within. cheers Richard -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Vote-for-Google-to-liberate-their-aerial-imagery---*please-help*-tp25401334p25417866.html Sent from the OpenStreetMap - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk

"LOL! *baleeted*" Didn't an online petition just work with the British PM regarding Alan Turing? I signed the Google one - took me less than a minute so I didn't have much to lose by trying. I'm starting with StreetView data (the GPS traces of the vehicles as they move around taking pictures). From what my contacts have said, there is lots of interest in making this data more public almost everywhere at Google, it's just a low priority in terms of engineering time. I'll keep everyone informed if something moves forward, but so far it's been one reminder email every 4 months sort of thing to see what's going on. ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
