Re: [OSM-talk] Is the standard map down?

Hi Dave,

I see no problem here. Maybe it was a temporary issue, or your tile usage is
being throttled?

 Hi

It appears the mapnik tiles server is down. I'm just getting a grey window
for the rendering at the moment. Cycle/transport etc are displaying.
Are others getting the same? Anybody able to sort the problem?

I think this might be caused by the roll-out of the new carto css style a
few days ago. Probably there is still backlog to render the tiles. I see
the same here. Grey tiles, out-of-date tiles for lower zoom levels, etc.

perhaps you understand the graphs behind the rendering servers :
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Status Don't know whether it's normal
behaviour or not

It's not your ISP is it? I'm seeing some (unrelated to OSM) routing
oddities on Plusnet (madasafish's parent) in the UK currently to some US
sites.

Other than re-render issues I'm seeing no issues with standard tiles
(tile.openstreetmap.org for me points to amsterdam).

Andy

I can confirm this problem. I'm getting 404 errors on some tiles
(mainly on high zooms, so probably uncached ones). An example (at the
time of writing) is
http://a.tile.openstreetmap.org/17/62914/81089.png.

The issue occurs on both the a, b and c tile servers.

Mapnik 'standard' is back up running for me, but Humanitarian is still
blank.

Don't think it was my ISP because as I said, other renderings were
operational.

Yes, mapnik re-render is quite slow recently (24hrs +).

Humanitarian is another tile server (not affected by the style
change). I'm not 100% sure but I guess it is this one:
