Not sure if talk-us is the best place to ask. We don't use raster data for
much more than background tracing. The only suggestion I have is to look at
Landviewer [1] for areas you know that have been reported as having climate
changes impacts and compare years. Landsat will go back a number of years.
If you want to get more sophisticated, use QGIS to compare vegetation from
then to now using the semi-automatic classification plugin.

Or just visit any lake in Northern Minnesota and ask the locals.  I've
spent many summers on Gull Lake.

En théorie ce sont les préfectures qui répartissent les électeurs 
inscrits dans différents bureaux de vote... mais en réalité, elles font 
faire tout ça par les communes qui font donc une "proposition" très 
souvent validée par la pref.


Le datacamp "cadastre électoral" de cet automne à la Pref. du Val de 
Marne avait été instructif ;)
C'est à cette occasion que j'ai cartographié les limites des bureaux de 
vote de St Maur des Fossés et oui par endroit ça a une drôle de tête.


On a 2 méthodes:
- un découpage géographique par paté de maison (car général dans ma commune)
- une répartition par rue
et bien sûr un mix des deux (cas sur Villecresnes)

Il n'est donc pas toujours possible de créer des relations "boundary".

Dans un cadre légal, elles ont une marge de manoeuvre, la numérotation des bureaux de vote n'en fait pas partie.

Pour en revenir au sujet prinicpal, nombre de communes n'ont qu'une salle pour aller voter. donc taguer un POI spécialement près de l'entrée principale me semble souvent suffisant.

amenity=polling_station ?

ref=1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9;10 par exemple.

I also lean towards this view. Sadly from the screenshots and reviews the app 
seems pretty low-quality and even spammy. But yeah, it got OSM's name out.

è una splendida notizia!
solo una curiosità: se questo import di dati GPX ha una certa ufficialità
perchè non si è deciso di realizzare un account CAI e caricarli da li? imho
sarebbe un ottimo modo per mostrare l'ottimo lavoro fatto sin qui dal CAI e
il suo contributo ad OSM oltre che a permettere di avere una sorta di
portale CAI su osm (che imho seguirei con piacere ed interesse)
"centralizzato"

comunque sia con il mio account potrei importare i tracciati del territorio
siculo (visto che per esso nessuno si è offerto) ed eventualmente se avessi
molto più tempo quelli della lombardia (che sospetto siano numerosi); ma mi
servirebbero istruzioni dai più esperti in merito...fino ad ora ho sempre
importato pochi e piccoli tracciati direttamente dalla pagina osm.orgva
bene così o devo fare altro e/o in altro modo?

Bedank je collega's ook voor de communicatie. Ze hebben het misschien niet
helemaal juist en OSM is idd geen app (haha) maar het concept is dan ook
niet altijd eenvoudig uit te leggen... :)

Voor een app verwijs je best naar OSMAND of maps.me. Die app onder de link
is niet echt nuttig... het is ook niet toegelaten om zomaar de naam
OpenStreetMap te gebruiken als naam voor een app.

Anyway, meestal worden we niet eens vermeld dus ik bekijk het eerder
positief ;)

·De “OpenStreetMap België) community reageert doorgaans erg snel op de 
vraag om een tekst te reviewen, je kan ze bereiken via hun mailing list, via 
twitter, facebook,… of gewoon door enkele sleutelpersonen aan te schrijven.

·Ik snap de verwijzing naar Localyse eerlijk gezegd niet. Die mannen 
hebben fake news verspreid, reageren niet op publieke opmerkingen hierover en 
ze zijn er allesbehalve in geslaagd om Google Maps up-to-date te zetten…

Die Erklärung macht sogar halbwegs Sinn ☺️, dann war es wohl Pech, dass die 
ersten 2-3 Straßenzüge die ich ausprobiert habe derartig in den BEV Daten 
erfasst wurden.

das ist kein Bug im Plugin oder im Reverse Geocoder, sondern die Daten sind 
tatsächlich so in der BEV-Datenbank:

Der konkrete Grund in Ebreichsdorf dürfte wohl der sein, dass es verschiedene 
“Bahnstraßen” in der Gemeinde gibt und der/die Gemeindebedienstete, der/die für 
die Verortung und Erfassung von Adressen verantwortlich ist, hier einen 
gemeindeweit eindeutigen Wert für die Straße vergeben wollte (das ist eine 
Vermutung).

Ich bin gerade dabei, eine Sammlung von Korrektur-Statements für die BEV-Daten 
zu erstellen. Ich nehme diesen Fall auf.

Die Daten sollten schon korrigiert sein und das Plugin sollte die richtige 
Adresse liefern, versuch’s mal!

[OSM-talk] A reminder that addr:place exists

There's a tag called addr:place [1] (6.2 million uses worldwide) which
is used e.g. in villages without street names.
A surprisingly high amount of software seems to ignore it, notable
exceptions being Mapfactor Navigator and Nominatim.

If proper usage of OSM data is of your concern, please spread the
awareness and nag the developers of your favorite software to support
it, as without it we are unable to use a significant amount of
addresses.

Les autres bureaux de vote à Caen vont de 01 à 23. Il y a 23 lieux de 
vote sur la commune de Caen. Mais il y a une soixantaine de zone de 
découpage de vote. c'est pour cela que chaque lieu de vote comporte de 1 
à 4 bureaux


le 14.1 est le 1er bureau du 14ème lieu de vote de la commune de Caen et 
donc le 14.2 est le 2ème bureau du 14ème lieu de vote.


et donc cela n'a rien à voir avec le département 14

Puisque le bureau de vote n'existe que lorsque le vote est en cours, je 
ne met rien au noeud puisque rien n'est visible 99% du temps.
En mettant ce noeud, je l'attribue au plus près de la porte d'entrée du 
bâtiment puisque c'est là que ce sera l'affichage qui mènera aux 2 
bureaux de vote (car je ne sais pas si c'est une spécificité de Caen ou 
d'autre commune, un lieu peut rassembler plusieurs bureaux de vote) et 
je l'attribue uniquement à la relation puisque c'est uniquement lié au 
vote, donc tout est dans la relation.


Ensuite de ce que j'ai compris des relations (je ne sais plus où je l'ai 
lu):
- si tout les éléments d'une relation comporte un paramètre commun, 
alors il est renvoyé à la relation et non plus à ses membres
