I feel as long as the information is there, then we can always run some auto/manual conversions to the latest scheme to make it easy/obvious for data consumers. The landmark = memorial_plaque came from the 'landmark wiki page' If we agree on things up front it makes it simpler. I was thinking about making a initial Wiki page, perhaps after some discussion here. I choose talk-GB, as mostly these plaques are GB (over 5000 exist according to OpenPlaques), rather than the wider tagging mail list for a start point. > Cheers, Chris > Cheers, Chris > User chillly > Blog http://chris-osm.blogspot.com ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb

Following just the plaque ID should take you to the personal links. I'm not sure how / if anywhere in OSM objects are linked to people. I suspect this would mainly be for historical interest. I would suggest the canonical link would be to the relevant Wikipedia page. Interesting OpenPlaques use OSM via Mapquest for the places overview (eg http://openplaques.org/places/gb/areas/portsmouth) However for the individual plaques they use Google Maps. ___ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb
