I'm planing to buy a GPS device or possibly ask for one from fellow OSM contributors in the Philippines, since I'll join the Milo Marathon, which will be held in San Pablo City on August 24. It is a big opportunity ro map a good portion of San Pablo City. Please email me personally if you're interested in
Re: [talk-ph] National Borders Highway
Hello all, Can we agree on the conventions for the values of the admin_level tag for boundary:administrative? Here's one suggestion: 2 - national boundary (mostly applicable to the sea border with Malaysia 4 - provinces 6 - cities and municipalities 8 - districts (like in Manila, Iloilo City) 9 - zone (like in Manila, Pasay, Caloocan) 10 - barangay 12 - sitio/purok I don't think we really need to tag the regions since the provinces are the primary subdivisions of the Philippines and regions are mostly for grouping purposes. And I don't think we need to tag the congressional districts yet. Besides, I think those boundaries fall under a different value for the boundary tag. Like boundary:legislative? Also, let's not mark boundaries on open sea just yet (except for the international boundary).
