Re: [OSM-Talk-ZA] OpenStreetMap now supports Map Notes

2013-05-18 Thread John
Can anyone help a Notes newby??

Is it possible to undo/ reinstate a resolve action on notes? Or do I
just add another note next to the old one??

I just clicked the resolve button thinking it would take me to edit
screen in order to attempt a resolve.

Regards,
John

add a note to the map while browsing www.openstreetmap.org

The motivation is to lower the the barrier for contributing to OSM. If you
see something missing on the map, a mistake or inaccuracy but you do not
have the time to edit or correct the map, you can now add a note so that
 others can respond and action.

To “add a note”, click on the link at the bottom right of the OSM website.
There is no need to login to add a note, but if you do it will be saved
 under your profile.

 Example of notes:

 Missing Pick n Pay

Address here should be 27 Church Street

Imagery could not be used to resolve, needs on-the-ground survey

 Mobile site to add notes:

 Stats for notes:

I saw a note of mine being resolved that did not look very resolved to me.
;-)

Worth raising an unresolve button as a feature request somewhere? Perhaps
in the git repository for the website.

I see you opened a new note. :-)

Sure, makes sense, but check first that an existing one doesn't exist.

Coding up the feature and submitting as a pull request is always preferred ;-)
