Re: The Bat! - bug report

2001-11-09 Thread Andrew Perevodchik

DE I think that the bug is to do with the content-Type:

Probably, not a bug -- just feature. As well as
hidden desktop.ini in MS Windows. The Bat! doesn't
think that anyone might be interested in .css
file, as it's just a slave under .html usually.

But what is bug: if you reopen this message from
outbox, edit it and save to outbox once again,
.css file really disappears.

Friday, November 09, 2001, I saw:

Can not confirm. The *.css does not dissapear. However if you view the
message whilst it is in the outbox there (at first sight) appears to be no
attachment. It is attached to the message a appears part of the message i.e.
as a tab on the bottom of the message.

No, it not question of viewing message in messagelist: attachment
with *.css (and some other, as I described) is not send. It is in TB!
 1.54/b10

I think that the bug is to do with the content-Type:

 Maybe.

The Bat! - bug report: Selection in FolderTree changes unexpected

2001-11-09 Thread Peter Palmreuther

Hello The Bat! developers,

I'm using The Bat! Version 1.54/10
  Serial Number 47C58D3D
under Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:
Collapsing topmost account tree switches 'selected' from current
reading message or current selected folder to last item visible in
account/folder tree.

  Steps to reproduce the bug:
- Have two or more accounts.
- Expand at least two or more accounts (at least one level expand,
  no fully expansion necessary)
- Go to a not topmost account (second, third, what-ever) into a
  folder of your choice.
- Collapse the topmost account by pressing the minus-sign in front
  of the account name.
- see what happens.
- If the folder you were in does not contain any mail choose a
different one to see much clearer what's annoying with this
  behavior.

Uhm The topmost account collapses and the message being viewed

Hello Allie,

ACM I supposed to be looking for?

For something I'm meanwhile looking for too :-(((
I wrote the bug-report after intensive testing, checking, evaluating.
After that I wanted to make some screenshots for clarification and for
uploading them to new bug-tracking system and it worked like it
should. The misbehavior can not be reproduced any more :-( I've not
changed _anything_, did not close TB! or did something else but
message-reading and tree collapsing/expanding .. suddenly it works
again ... An _absolute_ mystery to me but as soon as I'm able to
reproduce it I'll try to evaluate under what circumstances it happens.

Spoken for Delphi-Developers:
It seems like the instance of class TMLVGrid used for account/folder
tree executed something like an event-handler-routine for event
'OnCollapsing' or 'OnCollapsed' to re-evaluate select/focus states and
was temporarily mislead by any (temporarily?) race condition ...
As I'm not able to run a full debugging session I can't tell mote at
the moment but I'll have a look at it and try my best to pin it down
:-)

After one day of testing, I think: THAT'S IT. Peter, did you read this?
I'm quite relaxed now, little song on my lips... There is some place
wasted beside the 'Total' column, but this is ok.

I agree completely.

I still use separate entries per address for each contact and then hit

Flawed wizard

2001-11-09 Thread Alastair Scott

(This is my recollection from the last time I did it; I'm about to do
it again and just remembered the problem ...).

The wizard which appears as part of a clean copy (install from
installation file, first run) of TB! has a flaw if you want to restore
an account from a backup file (*.TBK).

You are forced to:

(i) create a dummy account to get through the wizard's steps;

(ii) reinstate the *.TBK contents from the menu;

(iii) delete the dummy account.

It would be helpful for a Restore account from backup option to be
available from the first step of the wizard, cutting out all the
unnecessary steps. This, I think, would be a nice simple addition
before 1.54 comes out :)

Or am I misremembering this and there is a way of *not* having to run
the gauntlet of the wizard?

Alastair

Nick, why not have something like this for entries with multiple

 ---,

- - address 2 |
 ---*

and so on. Just click and select the address you want. This is
somehow implemented in AB but I would like to see it in the
