Re: Connection Center (was: Still present...)

2001-12-23 Thread Andrew Perevodchik

Hi!

TF 1.) When you are in the process of sending a
TF message and hit Delete Task in the Connection
TF Center, the message will not be sent. If you
TF try to send it later, you get the error
TF message Nothing to Send even though the
TF message sits there in the Outbox. This can be
TF remedied only by closing and reopening TB.

... or by opening the message for editing again
and resaving it.

Quite possible, I can't reproduce it now after closing down and

TF Three more things I would like to report about the Connection Center,
TF which are all present also in the current release version and should
TF be fixed before a new release.

Took a little searching to find this one. I am on a cable
connection so in my network options is set to a LAN connection,
no tick box in CC. I reset my network options to dial-up
networking connection, still no tick box. Shut down and restarted
TB and the box was there, at the bottom of the CC. Reset to LAN
or Manual Connection, the box was still there until I restarted
TB again. Are your settings for LAN or Manual Connection set in
 the Network and Administration options?

Not confirmed. Just ran a test, placed a few message in the Trash
folder, set Properties to Keep 0 days, On exit: Purge, Compress.

On reading this message, I had 16 messages in common trash folder. On
closing and reopening, the trash emptied. Got one new message in
trash. So closed again. It's still there, as you can see in the
attachment 'after2' so I guess it empties sometimes.

Then I focused on another folder in another account, closed TB,
reopened, and the common trash was empty.

DAC common folders do not remember column settings from session to session

Not confirmed. Set the columns to weird sizes, closed TB, reopened,
the column sizes were still weird.

I changed width of subject column and added column for memo. See
'before'

Closed and reopened. See 'after1'. width change didn't take, and memo
column is gone again.

Ah, of course. I think you got it pinned down. It's so simple.

Of how much use would a disconnect checkbox be for a LAN connection?
Or a connection tab? So the options you see depend on what TB! thinks
is useful for you (better: what you told TB! what was useful for you :).
