I'd generally say that the character you see _now_ in the subject is never
used anywhere - it's always a hint that there is an error. The subject
should be Re: ¤-Symbol in Subject (and ¤) [hoping that it's right here,
two times the EUR symbol].

You can check yourself: Write a mail with ¤ in the subject. Put it to the
outbox. Watch it - it looks different.

GE Ah, ok. He should manually correct his character settings. Is there
GE a way to force TB! to use the same charset _everytime_, and not the
GE one which was used in the mail to which you reply?

None that I was aware of. You can set a default encoding for new
messages, but for replies you'd have to use a macro. Maybe this is worth
a feature request?

GE Well, a 'Dübel' (a 'dowel' in English, this little plastic thing you
GE place in the hole in a wall before you screw the screw into it)
GE normally has just 2 spikes, but maybe it's a special dowel used for,
GE ehm, additonal stability ;-)

offtopic
Ah, now I know the English word for it. And I see the connection between
that symbol and a Dübel. Although I have to admit that all I've seen
so far had only 2 spikes.
/offtopic

BTW, didn't it work correctly for some time after the last thread we
 had on that subject?

GE Hm, hm. At least with beta/31 it didn't work (I found a mail with
GE that version; I'm actually to lazy to test all the versions).

I don't think you will receive a good result with any version. As we
could see from the thread, the encoding is correct. It seems that TB has
a problem when displaying encoded subject fields (I don't know if it
affects other header fields as well). IIRC, somewhere before Beta 31 the
displaying was correct.

GE Well, and some additional test: I normally send my mails with quoted
GE printable coding. PGP obviously can cope with it. I send this mail
GE with base64 in headers and 8bit in the body - does the signature
GE show up as good?

GnuPG showed it as good.

BTW, I just filed a bug report for this problem, #501, if you or someone
else wants to add something I missed.

This is not a bug. You are viewing the message SOURCE which is

Agreed...
Whats wrong with minimizing the normal way or if you want an option

However shutdown gui is Shutdown... it would be very annoying to have
